So we've obviously had space and town police stations. Now City has given us Forest and Swamp Police Stations. What's next? The Outback with wily dingos and kangaroos to rob the locals? Maybe a Police Station for the Arctic theme because we all know how much trouble the polar bears cause. These are getting ridiculous. All the while the town doesn't have proper bank, post office, or gas station.3 points

Luckily no! I had about $350 in VIP and $400 from gift cards from the holidays :-) Add in all the freebies to be sold and reward sites for the purchases and it reduces the burn by a good amount.2 points

Just saw a UG auction end at $102 on eBay. Hopefully these things start creeping up now.2 points

Belongs to a friends daughter doing a science project on solar power. Bought the solar kit to use and we are going to build different solar powered vehicles (big/small wheels, tracked) to see the impact on the amount of power produced. Who says lego isn't educational? :)2 points

We have recently seen examples of items being in the catalog, but already gone including the spring catalog with the SSD. Also are you really from Antarctica? If so, is Lego's current Arctic theme a hot seller there? If so, is that dangerous?2 points

My tru had the elsa castle out yesterday. They said they only got 6 in and I got the last one. Was going to qfll but it looks like they are only selling for $65 shipped on ebay and my local craiglist has them at $60. After taxes my cost being $45 just doesnt seem like much profit margin there. My 5 year old daughter already found it and is offering her unopened Olivia house that she got for Christmas. That might be my best offer.2 points

My order of thirty arrived, each in their own box with substantial bubble wrap. This is perfect for reselling. Did everyone else have their cargo planes sent one per box?1 point

yeah I agree, made a big statement. I went to the Bama , FL game in 2009 in SEC champ and seeing Tebow cry was a great moment. Unfortunately the next summer I got the misfortune of my Broncos getting Tebow as there #1 pick. I still remember that night as my phone blew up with texts all at the same time. My wife goes what is going on. I never looked at any of them and said Denver just got Tebow. She goes how do you know. I replied "I know". Sure enough I checked the draft out and there he was lol.1 point

That's LEGO dedication. I am getting up at the same time to drive to FL visit family & friends and watch BAMA hopefully whip OSU. Unfortunately with drive time there will be little LEGO stops on the way down but I will hit a few BAM's and hopefully on way home hit some Wal-Mart honey holes that seem to have the oldest stock in the country.1 point

Hey runormal! Yes getting up and leaving at 7:30 am to get there at 9:00 am and wait in line to hopefully be the first in line to get one. To me it's not about getting it early which is cool but I like being in line and being first on release date. I called and there stock does not come in early so they did not sell out early, Then to find the perfect box of their stock so that I can buy it admire it collect it and never open it. It is for me not for appreciation and sale though, I did this for Ewoj and Red 5 too. They have WVM FOR $89 too so getting a couple of those.1 point

Admiral Wullf Yularen was in A New Hope as a background character who later became named and some backstory evolved primarily from The Clone Wars series. At least he has a name unlike "Random Bar Guy #2". Ha.1 point

You ask a simple but complicated question. It all depends. While that could be construed as a cop-out of an answer I assure you it is not. If you want to obtain maximum value out of your collection then you can wait...over time many sought after sets will continue to appreciate in value as more people buy lego and want older sets. However it is not that simple. At some will point out many sets will reach an apex in terms of their financial returns. What does that mean? Take your example of Taj Mahal. It has (my opinion only) gone past its apex of returns. You can achieve better returns if sold now and new sought after sets were purchased (my experiencedd opinion) and held long enough to appreciate (at a generally faster rate than a long retired set will). To me this means: more than likely you can sell it now (for far more than you paid, if you paid MSRP or less) and take that money and to buy new stock and start the appreciation game anew. If you do not need the money or still appreciate the set then selling may not be your best option. The depends part of my statement refers to what you want to do going forward. Reinvest acquired money to buy more lego or cash out for other needs. It is up to each individual to decide what suits them best. For me personally (since I have never built it) I would build it, enjoy it and when I got tired of it I would sell and purchase new sets to appreciate both esthetically and financially. Just my wandering 2 cents.1 point
