When a store makes a mistake in my favor, I correct it. I do not take free stuff. ...Borderline theft in my mind... I doubt many others have the same philosophy. I will use all the tricks and try and get the prices as low as possible but I always stay within the rules. I treat retailers the same way I would hope that my customers would treat me.5 points

Only way we could essentially get that (or more) in the US is when LEGO Shop at Home was kind enough to throw in the VW polybag and spaceman.1 point

It might not be smart to assume the T1 will retire BEFORE the Mini. 2014 was very instructive.1 point

From what I have read on Brickpicker, the best way have the listing removed is to say that they are listed in the wrong category. Most of the non-Lego listings are still found in the Lego category on eBay. I have read that members have had success doing it this way.1 point

target had a massive blow out on these on July 25th this year - came out to $16.14 each after red card savings - i picked up 25. some other bp'ers got hundreds at this price. i wouldn't buy these over msrp to pair with jabba's barge - you are just eating into the profit you would have made with the barge. unless you think this set is going to like $100. its already selling for upper $30s so you would be buying at 2x the price that many bp'ers got it.1 point

I was in the uni library today and was reading the Brickset review. The two girls studying next to me noticed it and asked me: -"Is that LEGO? Do LEGOs like that actually exist?!!" - Me: "Yeah, it's coming in January." - Girl: "I had no idea!! I WANT one of those!! So cute! I haven't played LEGO since I was a child!" - Other girl: "Me too! It is awesome!!" So what do you think about investment prospects? (Footnote: they also found it cute that I am into LEGO LOL...)1 point

Maybe stretched too thin - gobbled up GEs, THs and R2s...maybe grabbed HE and ToOs from S&**** with promos, now with Christmas presents also needing to be bought...something has to give. I'm getting creative and pushing old stock and sales to free up some capital. Too much chaos!1 point

With "Disney" on every Star Wars box, it makes me want to hoard the current sets (without the ubiquitous script) and never sell them.1 point

I found somewhere the setnumber of the UCS Tie-fighter. It is 75095 and RRP should be 229,95 Euro. Expected in the summer of 2015. Maybe this is already old news. But I could not find anything on the forum here.1 point

She's beautiful. A couple weeks ago my big boy didn't seem right. I could tell he was having breathing difficulties but was hesitant on bringing him to the vet. (A couple years ago he puked a number of times in a short period and it ended up being nothing but a large vet bill). My mom said he's fine but if I'm worried to take him. His vet had just closed so I took him to the pet emergency room. I was so embarrassed because he was acting his silly self but a bit subdue. 3 hours later and many tests they sent me home without my dog. They wanted to keep an eye on him because he had pneumonia. I caught it very early on but it took 2 doses of medications, a handful of xrays, and sedation. We now have pet insurance for him. I know I'd do anything for my dog. He is my best friend and always been there through the tough times. He also slightly let's me practice my nursing skills on him. Just graduated nursing school and looking for a job. He has been my best patient ever. And also the only one I know to gain weight when diagnosed with pneumonia.1 point

A drop ship scam is where the seller uses stolen credit card information to purchase the item from a 3rd party and have it shipped directly to you. So you likely get the product you wanted, but some person out there ends up with a fraudulent charge on their card. And the contact information that the store has is yours. I've twice made purchases that I believe were part of a drop ship scam, though I didn't know at the time of placing the order/winning the auction. I got both sets and I was never contacted by anyone investigating the orders, but both had invoices with prices significantly higher than what I paid and the bill to sections of the invoices were random people from middle america. Now that I'm aware of these things, I avoid auctions and storefronts that offer Lego sets at prices that are too good to be true.1 point
