At midnight I'll be scouring the globe for the best corn dog deals. You heard it here first!5 points

Definitely with you there...only way I can keep track of everything is marking it down immediately when purchased and checking it off when received:4 points

Maybe you should be more careful about what you post then, as new members like MikeF can't tell if you're being serious. At least make it more obvious you're joking.2 points

Sigh. Some people take this stuff way too seriously. The Chinese diesel/solar hybrid powertrain R2, on the other hand, is already available at Lowe's in the home maintenance section (it has a snowblower attachment).2 points
-
I think it will be solar since Chinese investors bought up all of our good solar tech.. D'oh! I can see this being true. Same thing happened with Architecture Studio, the mgr at my Lego store (also Cali) told me about the issues and upcoming remake of that set long before the news broke here. I posted that info earlier this year but I doubt anyone believed it at the time.2 points

I know what you mean, but no - on the contrary. It's one of the things you can only really understand it when you actually are in that situation (having kids here). Kids are a pain, are expensive, mess with your sleep, your time and at some point even with the most sacred of all: your Lego; but they are totally worth it.2 points

I have never heard of this, saw a link on facebook and followed it for some reason. Thought it was going to be something incredibly dumb but ended up liking it. http://www.newsarama.com/22821-darth-vader-vs-batman-for-reals.html2 points

1) I hate painting, but I'm too fussy to let anyone else do it. 2) I hate patching the gazillion dents and scratches kids make on the walls before painting. 3) What's wrong with people .. why can't they leave feedback? 4) TRU Lego deals are total garbage right now.2 points

At least you got an MSRP offer. I got an email offer of $100 for a tumbler.2 points

If an int'l buyer immediately requests total it will bypass GSP. youmust instruct them to wait 24hrs after auction end and ebay willsend them an invoice for GSP.2 points

Must be amazon eh? Ebay I'm sitting on $43.95 and haven't sold one yet. But I agree, I'm not lowering. Think the rocket is taking off soon! Good news is I finally got a couple of Mixel sales. One Series 1 set $119.95. 1 two-pack of Zorch and Vulk $19.95. Hopefully they get moving again. Seems like a lot of people found these on shelves and have been keeping prices low (at least on ebay).2 points

16 set city lot for $585 shipped. Mostly small to medium sets. All new and sealed. If you are looking to move volume and clean up some inventory selling in lots is the way to go.2 points

I once sent out messages to all the buyers who didn't leave feedback asking them to do so. One came back with my first neutral. I don't ask anymore.2 points

I do over 50k US a year just on Lego's on EBay and I still leave feedback for every sale...2 points

Got up early with the kids...groggily checking the computer as the coffee was brewing, trying to find a different auction I had previously seen. Saw this baby and clicked Buy: http://www.ebay.com/itm/291310950709 Sealed 3450 Statue of Liberty for $1050! Later received legit emails and pictures. Thanks for waking me up kids!1 point

Let the other people panic. The madness has just begun. It will blow you away at how fast sellers start dropping like flies over the next few days. Should be an easy $75-$80 to those patient enough, which even if sourced at MSRP, is a $20-$25/unit profit at FBA.1 point

I had a best offer of $15 for a 21113 (The Cave) this morning... they're going for close to $40 and MSRP is $19.99. Low balling buyers on eBay are not my charity of choice.1 point

I emailed a seller on craigslist for a inexpensive set that unopened and wanted to meet up with them and they said they would use paypal and that raised a flag so I asked why so low and why can't we meet and whoever that person was said that they received emails from most people wanting it shipped and who wants to meet in person with all the things that happen with people getting held up at gunpoint ect. I know that there have been stories with craigslist but meeting in a public place or with a group of friends is helpful and safe and emailed them that. Well now this scammer is trying to defend him/her self and said that they belong to brickpicker and watch the forums and sees what they say also said know some robin hood person? and also sees the same people emailing him. Well right there I say forget it and try to move and figured I rather pass on this. They emailed me one final time saying that people will use paypal no matter what and it is secure and also that because the prices are so low if her sells a couple of items a week he makes 600 or so plus bragging about having different ads up in different states besides the two people write about here. So I am going to be more careful about who I buy from on craigslist and realize that craigslist warns about shipping, escrow and I know better and hope no one gets taken at all. Had to delete my email so the moron doesn't write me again but now when I look on craigslist to see prices that are too good to be true I just pass.simple Anyway I know this is long but we are all collectors here and know our stuff and if not we have people looking out for us. So the way I figured is that this person watches what we write, knows the same names emailing them so probably why they dont reply back and 600 a week is not that much for some low life scammer, but still enough to piss me off being a collector.1 point

Well I've just got "The boot up the bum" we need to love everyone equally email from LEGO LEGO Shop at Home Europe cancelling my order of 4 Farms, 4 Caves and Winter Scene (thought they would of caught on after the plethora of orders of Minecraft I have placed). I'm not strongly suggesting but could this be a sign of these sets running low (like the Craftbox) or just pulling me up on my evil ways? Thinking I may lay low and not order anything over the next fortnight. I really wish that Amazon (US) still shipped to us :/1 point

Olivia's House is officially sold out at LEGO Shop at Home. Could it be that this set has finally ridden off into the sunset? If so, that was a quiet departure which could ultimately be a good thing. Or......it could be back pretty soon. Not really sure these days.1 point

I will notify you when I see it. TRU.ca has hidden/phantom links to the HH. I have a friend who works there and he sends me links to it before it goes live. It also shows up on amazon.ca once in awhile. I have seen the GE pop up more but I disregard it because it's not something i care to stockpile more. I am sure there are BPers cleaning that out. There is the $15 off gift card that you could use next week with TRU, if you bought the simpsons house the last few days with the 5% rebate from paypal, you can take it back to the store next week and knock off another $15. This is assuming you spent $100 on something else yesterday. So basically 5% paypal cash back plus $15 off simpsons house. There are more tricks to knock that house down to $160 but i rather be quiet about it. How else do some people flip this for $200 and profit from it. A few of my friends are flipping it for $20 profits nonstop in the province of BC.1 point

Sorry it took so long but I had a chance to open up some of the extras I bought a couple weeks ago and remembered to write down the name of each character onto its pamphlet so I could post their online unlock code here for anyone who wants them. I only have seven out of the sixteen unfortunately but better than nothing I guess. Hun Warrior: PMH - 835 - C4V - PDN Video Game Guy: R47 - EXJ - QHV - PDM Space Miner: BSK - HUT - VV3 - KS6 Lifeguard: RCK - THB - 9WX - BAK Dino Tracker: Y5H - 5VW - EP8 - JNS Pizza Delivery Guy: SMK - TPK - MA3 - 7SF Rock Star: EJA - AFW - VK8 - FXH I'll add these to the complete list thread for quick access later to keep track and make things easier. They should work and I doubt Lego would change these to something else down the road for some reason.1 point

It was love at first sight. Bad pun aside, sadly I am not married although I did have a nice fling with one. Free spirit lovely as the ocean breeze matching the color of her eye, hair fair like the leaves in Autumn, ....and an amazing arse. Never became serious about any sort of relationship but it's alright. She seemed to have found her true mate down the road, had a son, and we are still friends. I must say the boy is a real tinkerer and smart but hardly talks. Of course he plays with Lego which means that's all I end up doing when visiting. Haha. Oh and by the way the plural of Cyclops is Cyclopes. Just letting you know. Anyway, there really haven't been many problems political or otherwise between Orcs and Cyclopes. Sure some problems and a few unavoidable tragedies in the past but it's all good now. Actually most of the strife usually has and continues to be caused by Ogres especially the 'double headers' mainly because they are just so, well, incredibly stupid.... bless their heart. Two heads better than one? Not in this case. Also Goblins are some of the nastiest pickpockets you will ever meet but they make good cheap labor (from all the community service mostly).1 point

I am using an 8x6x6 box and the total weight is 1 lb 5 oz. My average cost to ship the set of 9 (I am in TX) is about $7.25.1 point

But crying at the low U.S. prices still feels good ^.^ "What you bought XYZ for retail price at 99,99$??? I found it at target for 79,99$!" - "You're kidding right? Found some for 59,99$ at walmart clearance!" - "Haha, guess I'm lucky, got 10 for 30$ at a garage sale" - "I found 100 MINT boxes under the brooklyn bridge and some dudes helped me carry them and bought me free milk shakes and a diamond-studded watch and 10 georgeous ladies gave a me a foodmassage afterwards, did I mention that it was with happy ending?" At the same time European are like "Yeah found XYZ (note: the same set!) for 148,991 point
