Anyone else selling HH as a BIN on EBay and get the stupidest offers? I've got prob 30 offers ranging from $179 to $225 for brand new sets. Some even try to explain to me how good of a deal it is for me!2 points

Hmm.. you were disappointed with getting a set 1 month BEFORE anyone else ? I cannot help you :(2 points

Looking at the Hailfire Droid and I will say it's one of those times I'm not impressed having a printed piece as opposed to tracks. Anakins ship looks like something thrown together in the Lego Movie.2 points

Sorry, until Lego marks it retired product, it simply is not so. If you are looking for more during sold out period they can come in and out of stock. It will be officially "done" when it says "retired product". Until then it is all speculation.2 points

... then I'll reply that there's a special thread for this: http://community.brickpicker.com/topic/402-what-lego-set-did-you-buy-today/?hl=buy2 points

Truly a great build. The dragon is like no other. Smug really towers over the whole set perfectly. I know you won't get as much joy out of watching the build as you would actually building the set, but hopefully it will provide of glimpse. Enjoy.1 point

8 R2's in from Target. 4 boxes 2 each. The boxes packed horribly loose and dented in all over the 4 were mint. The well prepared tight boxes that I thought would be good were all damaged. Strange.1 point

I got in my 4 Sopwith Camel's from Toys R Us I ordered a week or so ago. I had a delayed shipment notice. Interesting thing all 4 are 36R4. Yes 36R4. They were just made in September if we believe the code system. Interesting.1 point

Maybe it is a sign that you should stash them away for the long haul......... CC anyone???1 point

I bought the Bat and Turkey for my GF to put together. She has never really assembled a complete LEGO set before and now she is hooked. I'll have to get the Reindeer and snowman soon. Bought the Easter Bunny back in the spring but I assembled that one myself. I missed out on the Valentines Bear.1 point

I do like the Surface, but sadly i like the ones that are closer to $1000 I also have a Nexus 7 and I think it's great. Not sure why my battery life is awful, but it's a good device. Overall I thought the price for basically the most recent iPad was a good one for anyone out there that doesn't have a tablet, or like my wife has an iPad one. For internet, email and Candy Crush playing, you can't beat it.1 point

I've got some of the same sets for sale and think your prices are fine. I sold a 10193 MMV for1 point

The question is do you want a fast nickle or a slow dime? I am generally content to set my prices on eBay at a bit about average on most things, and sometimes well above average if it's something I am confident hasn't reached its top price. If you need cash, the fast nickle may be more appealing. If you can wait, the attempt at the slow dime (knowing you can drop the price to the fast nickle at need) may work for you.1 point

Well, as a result of this announcement, I placed an order this morning for another Santa's Workshop, some holiday sets, 2x VIP and another Elf Set. I think the Elf Set and Santa's Worshop might flip with this holiday season. I'll probably only get one of set #2 when I use my VIP $$$ next month.1 point

Think of what a sets potential might be and price it as so. Let it ride...1 point

It is what it is, but I'd rather have twice as tall snowy hill for (2) sled(s) OR twice as big ice rink. Not a fan of half hill, half rink design1 point

I agree. I often read on here that something is a "bad" investment just because it has not immediately doubled in price a few months after EOL. Real returns often take years. To see how Technic is performing look at the sets that EOLed in 2010-11. I think the FB will rise slow next year. This year has been effectively stock dumping. Similar with 9474 which EOLed in Feb. No real upward movement until June with Sep showing the biggest monthly jump.1 point

Personally I think the Unimog will do just fine. Just do not sell them now. For Xmas alot of them will be sold to end users. So they will be more scarce afterwards. Then I project a growth spurt. I will keep my three until 2016 at the least. Same story with the FB. We have to wait till the amounts on sale are gone. It takes time. I like the F1 car quite alot. But what it is lacking is a license. If it would have a license with BMW/Ferrari it would be a no-brainer.1 point

You remember that one time where you had buyers remorse and returned 2 of the 3 9465 you bought from a local retailer at 10% over MSRP after it had disappeared from the LEGO Shop at Home page? Well, probably you don't but I do.1 point

Because of the box it can be a cool gift from an AFOL to an other. I don't think people will forget this set, and also think it will stay around $15/20 for a while. It can also be a really nice freebie if you sell an expensive set.1 point

I wouldn't rule out the Halloween magic batch. But if it comes, it will be limit 1 and still probably sell out pretty fast.1 point

Would have been really awesome if they had made it a light brick, then I totally would have hung out in the parking lot trading candy to kids for one of them....1 point

I've only managed to sell 2 of my dozen sets and one of them was today. I owe you a cragster! My theory is a lot of people heard the "they are going to be available in October" and thought they would go full minecraft. Or your average joe anyway thought they could get them with ease and turns out they are still sold out in stores in 8 minutes by us NGDRS (no-good dirty reseller scum) and are finally biting the bullet and paying ebay/amazon prices.1 point

I think some Tumbler flippers are counting their 2X VIP and promos as cost savings as well.1 point

I just picked my first used set off of CL today and other than taking a week to try and get the deal done, it was a good experience. I told the guy I would pay what he was asking, $350 for a 10188 DS, then he inexplicably dropped $30 off. It was his 13yo kid actually making the deal when we met up. He had seperated all the pieces into ziplocks and labeled them like the original bag numbers. And one of the last bags I came across was... The kid actually gave me the "extra" pieces from the set too. If I had realized this at the time of the deal I would have flipped him an extra $10 (and a couple chima worriz bikes). Very cool of him!1 point
