  2. Dearest Lego Denmark Employee: I hope this post found you well. We just want to let you know that all the purchases revolving around the Town Hall in the last week do not reflect the true demand for this set. The set still sucks, so please retire it. Yours Truly, MLNCS A Lego fan first (and a Lego investor second)

  3. Don't do auctions. Do fixed price listings with immediate payment required. Problem solved forever. You're welcome.

  4. Doesn't it feel good to have reached your target for a set? You get to watch all those panic posts, and just be like "Yeah, already got me some of that."

  6. People need to get their priorities straight! Buying LEGO products does serve but one use: Reselling them later! Also they should stop buying other stuff just because they might enjoy it and be happy... I mean what nonsense is that? Spending money on things?! You should keep that money and hoard it. And one day when you're 90 years old sitting in that dark empty space you call home you'll at least have a lot of money to keep you company and boy all those happy memories you can share with it, like that one time when you didn't open a LEGO set that you really wanted to build but sold it for some more money.

  12. Or... "Dear Lego, As a neurotic, truly obsessed collector, I only want to own a Lego set like, hypothetically, a Town Hall, if I can be assured that it is a 'first edition'. Please tell me how I can determine this from the seal codes. Sincerely, Not An Investor"

  17. got super lucky today at westfarms mall in ct - on a hunch called this am, asked if they had any TH and/or Tumblers. yes and yes. not just one, right? no, several. booked it down from western mass and got there around 3pm - it was DEAD in the mall and the lego store was also quiet. the usual know it all remember every customer manager dude was not there. instead I had this nice sarcastic jeanine garofalo type of manager who wanted to sell some lego since no one else was buying anything. i mumbled something about having to buy my nephews and godson xmas gifts. yeah - right. these are gifts... walked out with 3 perfect mint TH's, all 38R4. Ths were in back - none on the sales floor. also let me buy 2 mint Tumblers. everything was double VIP and gave me 5 holiday promos.

  19. Great way to end the show would be to have them be on Alderaan, discussing how Obi-Wan Kenobi was arriving shortly with Bail Organa. Suddenly everything gets very dark and they see a gigantic death star roll into orbit. Then the green lasers fire up, screen goes black, end of series.

  20. Lol, how bizarre. And what a weird thing to be scrolling through this person's auctions and seeing these all mixed together. It's like.. Aw, this could be a cute choice... "Girls Frozen Elsa&Anna Olaf Snowman Kids Top Blouse T-Shirts Clothes 2-7Y Shirts" Ah, that looks nice for my little sweetpea too... "NEW Frozen ANNA Elsa Princess Dress Coronation Gown Costume Girls Xmas Size 7-8" Whoa...wtf?? "LEATHER GIMP DOG Puppy Hood Full Mask Mouth Gag Costume Party Mask ZIPPED MUZZLE" And... "Exotic Men's Full Body PU Leather Harness Chest O-Rings Goth *** Fancy Buckles"

  25. This one will "definitely" retire end of 2014. TECHNIC sets might be slow growers but at least you can very accurately estimate their EOL dates most of the time.

  26. Whole listing is gone, it came back when briefly in stock a while ago. Funny how it was stripped from the site so fast; yet FB and Sopwith still have listings.

  28. Just keeps coming back. Wish I could get another. Don't have to right tools. Bringing a knife to a gun fight is what I do every time I try to get this. And I don't know where to get a gun.

  31. Nice score Tabby- I have just 3. And I hate to do it, but I'm pretty sure we're going to tear into one of them tonight. I mean, that was always the plan - to have one for ourselves - but looking at prices now (and imagining where they may go)... it's going to be hard to crack those seals. I've been preparing my six-year-old all week: telling him that this will be not his Lego, but our family's Lego. That we're going to set it up for Halloween, then take it down after the holiday - just like a Christmas tree. You will not take the minifigures to your room. You will not swap their heads with your stormtroopers or Darth Vader... jeez... I feel like the dad in the Lego movie. But I gotta lay down some law.

  33. You have no idea how much that scene from the original clip still makes me laugh my ass off. "Falcon....PUNCH!!!!"

  34. It was just in jest, and I actually meant what I asked. It is troubling if the label shows 39 because that means Lego went to factory and conjured up a new batch to fill the orders. May or may not be an indication of EOL, but that means Lego did not stop production, and kept on producing. Then again, when I learned that you can be awarded the Troll badge, I figured I could try to earn it. I think Watson rather than Sherlock might have gotten me closer to the Troll badge.

  36. I do wonder about that. Personally, I find FB to be the worst of all the modulars. Not only do I find the building looks a bit dull and small, but some of the building techniques -- the flag made of bricks instead of the GE's flag pieces, the awful looking tree -- leave me scratching my head a bit. I'm sure others feel differently, but if I could have all modulars except one, it would be an easy decision to exclude the FB.

  40. what really got me interested in the set was the lego designer video. that's when i saw the floor layouts. i just wish the front was more light gray (prob would look too much like a Court) and less dark orange. however i understand the use of dark orange for the brick-look (no pun) Astrid did a good job presenting the set's design and especially it's features.

  45. Mega Bloks are crap. The are cheap knockoffs of Legos. Stay away.Mega Bloks are the poor mans's Lego bricks to be honest. They are similar in shape and size and will even work with Lego bricks, but their quality is awful. I like their HALO theme and some of their Need for Speed products are cool, but overall, they are not worth buying IMO.I've used the Mega Blok instructions with Lego bricks with great success when building the Halo models.
