I was contacted by Volvo to post a design video of the LEGO Technic L350F Wheel Loader. It's definitely an interesting video to watch. I love these types of behind the scenes and design videos. You can buy this set for $249: LEGO | Amazon |6 points

Only about 20% of Lego Investors will wait 8-10 years after this or any set retires, some will crack after a few months only if they will only make a few dollars. Even I never waited that long. And that goes for just about any set, its easy to say I can wait, but everybody will find out its far from easy.4 points

One of the smaller Arctic Sets. I've been please with the whole series. I'm hoping that my next build will be The Lonely Mountain.2 points

You do realize the first holiday season since it's retirement is still 50 days away? I think time will tell, once we get to March 2015.2 points

I guess that would be more expensive than to get one from an ebay reseller right now.2 points

37R4, and they couldn't fill the backorders?? What, the produced only a hundred in that run? :shocked:2 points

This is the perfect set to box up your inventory of, put away, and forget for eight to ten years. Massive investment volume will hurt this model in the short and medium time frames... But as a long-term HOLD this has all the ingredients: iconic/timeless model, no remake potential, displays beautifully and the details are extraordinary. It will take time but the last guy holding this in inventory is going to be sitting on a gold mine.2 points

So I have been looking for a list of stores that sell LEGO sets. Is there a comprehensive list available? ** = They ship internationally XX = They DO NOT ship internationally ? = don't know if they ship internationally % = Only some sets 1. Lego.com - ** 2. Amazon.com - % 3 Target.com - XX 4. TRU.com - % 5 Shopko.com - ? 6. Sears.com - ? 7. Walmart.com - XX 8 Entertainmentearth.com - ** 9. westendtoys.com - ** 10. kmart.com - XX 11. Ebay.com (Other auction websites.) - % 12. Brickset.com - ? 13. toywiz.com - ? 14. bigbadtoystore.com - ? 15. meijer.com - ? 16. barnesandnoble.com - ** 17. bookamillion.com - ? 18. samsclub.com - ? 19. thinkgeek.com - ** 20. yoyo.com - ? 21. bricksandminifigs.com - ? 22. toysperiod.com - ? 23. chowrentoys.com - ? 24. theplasticbrick.com - ? 25 brickenvy.com - ? 26 firestartoys.com - ** 27. kiddiwinks.com - ? 28. brickarms.com - Custom Lego pieces - weapons etc - ? 29. brickmania.com - Custom lego kits - ? 30. brianstoys.com - ? 31. spareblocks.com - ? EDITS ADDITIONS: 32. Craigslist.com (Other trading websites.) - XX 33. listia.com - XX 34. Bricklink.com - **(depending on seller) 35. Brickforge.com - ** Ok so I know this isn't all of them. Which ones did I miss? (If I missed your store, it's your fault. Your marketing is terrible. I shop for Lego sets all the time, how have you stayed hidden?) I only went about ten pages deep on Google. 90% of these I have heard of before but I have not purchased from all of them. I figured this was a good start to the list. I will continue to add the suggestions people make to the list so you don't have to scroll through a ton of pages to get all the stores.* There are probably a million little sites that sell a few sets...lets try and keep it to those who have a regular, steady inventory. PS You're welcome. Unless someone has already done this type of thread...then I'm sorry. *Contingent upon me not getting lazy. Edit: I started a key for those that ship internationally. As pickers figure out who ships where, post it here.1 point

eBay has them brand new for $160USD and higher. This is already money in the bag even at $150CAD. I bought two more and shipped it to one of our offices in Canada.1 point

90% of Lego sets don't pop out of the gate. Takes a slower steady growth over 2-3 years. Additionally, Helm's Deep retired with plenty of notice. I don't remember much panic buying since it wasn't an exclusive (meaning, most of us purchased our target # of inventory at nice discounts 4-8 months before it retired).1 point

Just got Tower of Orthanc delivery , bought at Amazon from 3rd party seller for about $142 shipped. Does not look like drop-shipped(shipping was via USPS with signs that the seller actually visited the post office). He threw in mini-mini-cooper because he delayed the shipping by 3 days. I guess he was taking his time to find one that fell off the truck? Don't know... Was shipped in lego unmarked shipping box. Seals seem ok (49R3), minimal creasing on the box (way better condition than from wbshop...)1 point

No, the money he'll save not seeing a shrink because he can do something he wanted to (opening a $120 box) but he didn't. Sepotato: open it, enjoy it: it will appease your mind for the rest of your life, so you'll not have some regrets (I understand you can regret losing some bucks, but you may have far more regrets not having fun from a set you owned).1 point

Yeah, can't agree enough about the BL forums. At the very least, if you must read the forums, don't let the minority of sour apples ruin it for you. Some very bitter people are on there that are still mentally dealing with the Jezeks selling to the Korean company.1 point

I hope everyone enjoyed the peak. Congrats to those that were able to unload.1 point

I use the part set function on Bricklink - you can do the same if you've kept the sets intact, just remember to manually remove the minifigs and any of their accessories that you will not be uploading from the editing page that will pop up for you in the part set process. Making a few small orders first is a good plan - it'll get you familiar with the process as you mentioned, and it'll get you a few feedback points to start with, which will make some buyers more comfortable with you. Before you upload anything, make sure you have your filing system set up and the parts you're about to upload already filed. Nothing is worse than getting orders for parts sitting in a jumble on your "to be filed" table. With your eBay selling experience, learning Bricklink will be simple enough - a few differences, a few things that work better and a few things you won't like as well. The forums there are shark-infested, but simple start up questions generally won't get you bitten (or you can always ask here in safer waters).1 point

Hm, looks like I will most likely not be opening the HH I have for Halloween decoration at this point. I think Arkham Asylum will be an adequate substitute. It is creepy enough for Halloween according to popular opinion around the household.1 point

It's a sign, so I got one more ^^ and I'll see if I'll get even one more on october. I just hope it will not be canceled, having one more waiting to be shipped...1 point

just got back from a road trip and hit 3 Lego B&M stores, These items were absent from all 3 HH, GE, Sopwith, Maresk, SSD. Asked and they do not expect to get any of these back in stock. They all had plenty of Pet Shops and a couple of DS.1 point

Bought a Tumbler. I don't know why. I don't want to build it, it is too early to invest in it, and I hate flipping. I'm sure I'll find something to do with it.1 point

Although banned by the wife, I could not pass up on these deals. My wife will kill me. But better be killed for buying lego than for something else. Ha! - 70010 Chima Lion Chi Temple (MISB) 80 euro - 2507 Ninjago Fire Temple (NISB) 88 euro - 2 x 76011 Super Heroes Batman Man-Bat Attack (MISB) 16 euro each - 76018 Super Heroes Hulk Lab Smash (MISB) 40 euro They had 1 Lion Chi left for that price so I will grab it too in a few minutes when I go back. Doubting about: They also had 2 Benny's Spaceship (MISB) for 68 euro each. Should I grab those as well? One 31012 Creator Family House (MISB) for 44 euro and one 75021 Republic Gunship (NISB) for 88 euro.1 point

You guys are so heartless. To give chima fire bikes to orphans, sick childs, etc. ? Don't you think they suffer enough ? And about US cancels, that's because these sets are on boat to europe, he he...1 point

That's a great idea. Donate them to the Salvation Army or Toys for Tots. The smile it will put on a child's face this holiday season is worth a lot more than the couple of bucks you will make off of them IF anyone buys them. Plus that child may just grow up to be a future AFOL who will spend the big bucks later.1 point
