10187 Volkswagen Beetle for $500US. I picked this up for $130 last week and replaced the two missing "penny" pieces from other sets. The BP guide of $350 is based off of very few sales and there are no current used listings so if you were thinking of selling a used one, now is a great time.4 points

Be honest in your listings and do whatever you can to make customers happy. I'm sitting at 1090 Feedback, all positive, and have only had one or two instances of scams in 12+ years. Most buyers on eBay are honest as are most sellers.2 points

the fact that these new miniT1s have a code ending in 3 indicates a lost pallet packaged in 2013. seal codes correlate at least with the lego carton packaging date listed in year month day format on the side of the lego case they come in for every set i have cases of. for example, the outside case of 8 exosuits has a label with a date code listed as 140519 - May 19 2014. there is also a second production date code listed as YYMM - 1405 - this explicitly tells us that the date codes are YYMMDD. this case was packaged at 6 am-ish on Monday May 19th. the exosuits on the inside have case seals 20S4 - the 20th week of 2014 begins with - you guessed it Monday May 19. this is counting the first complete week of 2014 beginning on monday january 6th as Week 1.2 points

A while ago i build the 10221 SSD and also posted it somewhere around here. In my mind i thought it would be a nice idea to decorate it with small Tie-Fighters and a micro Tantive, Tie Bomber. Every brick for this arrived today. I am dissapointed with the result myself but i decided to share it here anyway. It was dark outside, photos are kinda darkish. Sorry for that.1 point

Great display! I see a lot of TIE Figthers, but there could be some X-Wings added there to. It would be awesome to see a mini space battle around the SSD.1 point

Vampyre Castle - surprisingly fun build, although there is a LOT of gray in this build.1 point

Great, as usual... ....however !!!! sometimes some frames are blueish (bluish ?) and it hurts the eyes... (for example 2'38" => 2'49")1 point

I have bought from people with 0-1 feedback, everyone starts somewhere. I won't copy other people's suggestions but when you are ready to sell, CHECK SHIPPING COSTS first. You don't want to list something as $200 with free shipping and realize that to ship across the country is $35 instead of $15. Shipping in Canada sucks and as an example, I have found it cheaper to ship from Washington State to Ontario than it is to ship BC to Ontario depending on the cheap item (cheap enough so customs is not an issue). Good luck with your sales.1 point

Totally not trying to get away with anything...in fact, I purposefully told the cashier, "I've read that these coupons don't work on lego anymore..." He said he'd try it anyway. I actually wish they were programmed in, to elucidate confusion on what coupons work on....1 point

Houston, TX. I didn't pay attention to when they showed up but if it was really last December then they sure lasted a while. Bought the last R2 in June and the last DS in August.1 point

Whoa!!! Can I just say that I've got into the right hobby!!! This network is amazing! Thank you everyone for the help. I posted this yesterday less than 12 hours ago and already 10 of you have offered advice and expertise on the subject. Knowing that this group is here to help on my journey only makes me more excited to continue!!! Thanks again! (Keep advice coming if you have some personal experiences I should know about!) @brickcrazy Cheers!1 point

Gotta start small and build some momentum - sell poly bags, part out some sets, or even stuff lying around your house to get at least 20-25 feedback before moving up to small sets. Then, when the time is right, mix in some big sets. Doesn't hurt to buy things to get feedback too! Find some great eBay lego sellers and copy their descriptions - don't actually copy them but mimic their detail, policies, and style. There's also plenty of info on this site, and others, on how to be a good seller. Just takes some time and a browser to read it all....the trick is to actually follow through. Remember, it does take work - there's good money to be made, but if it was a walk in the park, then everyone would do it. (See other msg board threads on speculation of the golden age of reselling....) Good luck!1 point

I'm guessing it is the Czech Republic. http://aboutus.lego.com/en-us/news-room/2012/october/expansion-of-lego-factory-in-czech-republic1 point

First off, welcome to Brickpicker! My advice is start off slow, like wilanirene suggested, with smaller items. That`ll give you a feel for selling merchandise online. Work your way up. It`s like starting in the shallow end of the pool before diving into the deep end. You`ve got to build up and be smart about it. If you`re asking what`s stopping someone from lying about you, the simple answer is nothing. Generally speaking though people aren`t going to do that, people are good in general.1 point

My recommendation is so sell smaller items to start to build up feedback ($10-$20 items). Once you have a few successful transactions under your belt then start selling the larger items.1 point

Ummmm, I think we know the VW Camper Van wasn't a poor seller. Just about every time I was in Lego Store, someone was checking out with one.1 point

https://ideas.lego.com/projects/12902 I like this one but TLG says they won't make it because the show is inappropriate for children. That makes sense but makes me wonder how Ghostbusters got approved. The movie was definitely an adult movie with crude humor and a scene where a ghost visits Dan Akroyd downtown if you know what I mean. Hint: you do.1 point

It has been a while since I updated what I have built so here goes: August - Mini Cooper - half of it I built in the back seat of my car when I took a driving break and the other half of the set I built in my hotel. Good build, except for the size of the steering wheel and gearshift. End August/Early September - 10190 Market Street, 10185 Green Grocer and two more floors of the 10211 ***. Emporium - the picture shows a couple of missing pieces but those are in a ziploc bag on top or behind. Market Street is really a boring build and it doesn't fit with the grandeur of the other modulars. The main issue is the market, it has to go at the end of a block or with something on top of it as it looks out of place. Green Grocer is a great build with lots of interesting details and different pieces. It looks great and in my opinion has the best exterior design. Even if you don't collect/build modulars, I think that everyone will appreciate this set. This weekend was a busy one with 3 builds: My girlfriend finally finished her Tumbler, she was building one bag a day until yesterday's 3 bag finale. I can't comment much on the build other than it is a really large set and the left and right front corner panels are not secure. This is a difficult set to move around but as a display piece, it is awesome. Yesterday, I built the 4483 AT-AT. I had never built an AT-AT so I had no expectations. It's a weak build with a lot of structural issues, but it still looks good - I expect to sell this and trade up to the new one (based on the link that another member posted this week) I also built the 10187 Beetle over the weekend. First, I had to dust/clean the pieces to make sure everything was there (one minor piece missing that I don't have). It was an awkward build and fortunately Lego outlined the location of every piece in the instructions otherwise it would have been painful. I was surprised at the size of the beast but It really needs tiles to stand out so I will quickly sell this one. Time for a building break1 point

As a SW fan I agree, lol. I struggle every day to not rip open these sets I have and quit my job and spend the last few months before I am homeless building them all and running around the house going "pew pew!"1 point

Ban is not end of the world, but for example in Slovakia we have no official Lego Store (even SaH not send to us - I have to use Czech address), or Wallmart, or TRU, Targer, ToysRUs or anything else with good deal opportunities. Just ebay and amazon with very expensive post costs. So, not to be banned in SaH is important in Slovakia when you want to trade with Lego. Its a shame for Lego I thing.1 point

The eBay store, minifiguresplus, just listed sealed cases of the 71005 Simpsons Minifigures for $239.99. I bought from them many times and always received a great product. These minifigures will sell like very, very well...so don't miss the opportunity. Remember, they will be selling for $3.99 individually, so this is a solid deal with FREE SHIPPING and NO TAX.1 point
