Let me save him the trouble. He's probably busy looking for some Quiznos boxes: [emazers voice]. Emazers has been telling you guys to buy these I've been picking up 3 a week for the past year now have 39 ill keep buying to 50 now don't miss the boat on the ds, ge, sw droid, etc this may be your last chance to get these so order as many as you can afford now "don't be like the people who are kicking themselves for not buying ssds instead of all that clearance crap Ed [/emazers voice]12 points

They will either both be back, or neither will be. Or one will be back and one will not. Or both will be back briefly and then discontinued again. Or Exo will be and not RI or vice versa. There will either be one or more production runs of both, either, neither or no more runs of one or the other or both. It is likely that I will buy between 0 and 100 more of both. Prices will likely remain the same for RI, increase if supply is low, or decrease upon multiple more runs. For Exo the outlook looks the same. Mark my words, put it in the bank. My Lego manager insider told me, his wife plays bridge with the wife of a guy who works on the board of directors of some place that knows the CEO.8 points

Don't really understand why people almost always associate this set with "Halloween" Its a Haunted House. Its Haunted all year long. Its Haunted on Valentines day, Forth of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas & yes, even Halloween. BTW, if you don't have one or want to get another one, buy it now, forget the Camper, GE, SC,PS ect...3 points

I know the catalog is a poor indicator of EOL, but I would have to say the HH is a goner if they are not promoting it in the Fall catalog.3 points

This doesn't surprise me, it seems like Lego uses a weak tape for the seals. As was previously mentioned in the exo suit thread, the seals on those sets are slipping due to the strain of the box flap, gotta keep those sets packed tight or they'll eventually pop. Also, the seals on the SSD's tend to stretch and slip if they're moved around too much, probably due to the massive size of the set and only have 2 seals on each side. Lego really needs to re-evaluate how they seal sets, really wish they'd just go back to the punch tab style boxes for everything instead of taped seals.2 points

I finally cleared off a shelf to display my B-Wing, I really like the set and it's pretty sturdy for what it is. The stand seems to work well, although a strong bump would probably knock it off. I've always loved this ship and the Y-Wing. I guess I have a thing for oddly shaped ships. I'm secretly hoping for a redo of the UCS Y-Wing to add to my collection.2 points

Some sets are at MSRP. For those, use a coupon, rewards, CC discount, and discounted gift cards. For marked up sets, price match with another retailer, ideally when it's on sale, then use rewards and discounted gift cards. I have consistently gotten certain sets this year from TRU at better prices than any other retailer, just have to plan your stacking carefully and wait for the right moment.2 points

Bought my first Live Star today. Signed up for a TRU card and got the 15% off. $340 ship to store. I plan on buying another DS from LEGO Shop at Home in Oct for double VIP and I also plan on finding me a used but complete one so I am not tempted to open these two.1 point

Not necessarily true, just because 2 opposing action/inaction resulted in the same thing, does not mean they are automatically null and void. Consider this: 1. Exercise is good for your health 2. Sleep is good for your health Just because you cannot do both exercise and sleep at the same time, does not automatically mean both are null and void when presented as 2 rules back to back.1 point

I gave you that once the Dominion War started, it limited the writing somewhat as most episodes had the war as main plot or subplot in some way. However, IMHO there were still variety of stories late season 6 and the beginning of 7 that the show did not become just about the war (even though that was the big thing threatening the whole Alpha quadrant at the time)1 point

One other thing that might be confusing you is that they're not talking about VIP points from the Lego store. They're talking about Amazon credit card reward points. You get 3% back for Amazon purchases that can be used to either buy something else or apply towards your credit card bill. With Lego VIP points, it doesn't matter how you spend them.1 point

Just wanted to get back to you on this. In the upcoming forum release, tables are a standard feature in the editor, so I will not be adding any plugins to this board. I will wait until the upgrade is available.1 point

I do not see the contradiction. The rules simply mean any good Ferengi can do good business in war OR peace. * Contemplating about changing my avatar to Quark ;)1 point

Or to common sense. His advice is great, but nothing really complicated. Buy a lot of exclusives to maximize profit. Not everyone can do it though1 point

Emazers if you're reading this I'd just like to clarify that you're a stand up guy and we all respect you. There is no harm meant, it's just friendly banter. In fact no I lie it's jealous spiteful greed.1 point

This has always been my favorite rule. Not to live by, but to remember how true it is from certain point of views.1 point

How do you know if it's humidity? The seals on one of my sets just popped yesterday, the rest are fine. Hopefully, it's just that box. Mine are all in the basement.1 point

From what I remember they were but I remember thinking.. neat, but not really interested. I found this which laid out the Canada reqs to get them last year: http://brickfanatics.co.uk/toysrus-bricktober-2013-details/ Last year there was only three from what I found... and October also brought 20% off Technic which is about as good as get.1 point

I think those will be much more sought after than the minifig packs.1 point

I'm hesitant on whether to pull the trigger (again) or not on this one... I have 4 already and the clouds of mass production have not cleared yet.1 point

I use those exact ones for my bulk pieces. Not a bricklink store just pieces. they work great, have four of them. You can even get dividers for the drawers. not sure how big you want to go. My original one filled up pretty quick with my first 16 lb lot. Also for the very common pieces consider a bigger set of sterilite plastic drawers as those big drawers on the bottom will fill fast with 2x1, 2x2, and 2x4 pieces. Another consideration is if you deal in both used and new parts you will need to have two separate filling systems to keep them seperated. Also I can see that being a pain bringing several in and out of the garage all the time. I would consider mounting them to a wall in your garage and having a table set up with lighting for a nice little inventory and packing station.1 point

As I said in the other thread, if the HH is not in the Fall LEGO catalog(Halloween), I think it's a goner.1 point

The 10188 is back in the new catalog for those who track those sorts of things.1 point

I agree. Like you said, box condition only matters for some sets. Bottom line is people want "new" sets and box condition is secondary,1 point

Just built HH. It is a fantastic gorgeous piece of Lego. That one is difficult not to open. I ordered 6 of them at good price, 5 for investment and 1 to build... because I just HAD to.1 point

Ebay working fine for me. But Facebook on the other hand... If brickpicker is hacked and goes offline, I might as well throw my phone away. What else would I ever use it for?1 point

If the catalog was sent to printers before August 2nd, of course RI would be in catalog. They are not going to reprint catalog just because they ran out of one set. Wasn't SSD in some sort of holiday catalog?1 point

Really wasn't a feature that was talked about or used all that much. I will revisit it again after a few of these other products are released. Right now, my main goals are to get classifieds launched, a site update for certain areas and a new mobile app that we haven't talked about that goes with one of our new features. Based on the direction this site has headed in, we feel it will be something useful to many.1 point

I'll fell asleep to Animals countless times as Twentysomething. I still get back to that "feeling" every time I listen to Floyd. Good good times....1 point

I know it wasn't done on purpose, but for me, I prefer those color variations if I'm building something that is supposed to be old like a castle wall or haunted house.1 point
