As promised, I will post how I built the digital rendition of the San Diego Comic-Con Classic-TV Batmobile. First off is the part list which was taken straight from the generated HTML Building Guide LDD generates. I tried to keep the amount of bricks minimal as possible to make it easy to put together while still taking into consideration Lego5 points

This 'controversy' reminds me of how all the schools were flipping out about Bart Simpson "Don't have a cow, man" t-shirts when I was a kid. If you had Simpson's anything in school they'd send you home to change or confiscate it.4 points

I loved the 1st one. it Had everything a guy movie should (like the Expendables movies). Sharks, guns, bikinis, hot chicks, chainsaws, flying animals, flying sharks, Tara Reid looking hot despite looking used, Tornadoes, helicopters, no plot, terrible acting, hot chicks, senseless violence, etc... All that was missing was a flying 10179 Kinda like drinking Beast Ice during college. So bad yet so good.3 points

The other guy had 300 sets valued at $50k which averages out to $167 a pop. They weren't stealing speedorz and battle packs. I hope it wasn't the Quizno's dumpster because we all know someone would have found them before she could get back to them..2 points

In the past, several BrickPicker members have asked us how we post affiliate links. Many members have been very helpful with posting affiliate information when they post new links in the Daily Deals threads. Please support BrickPicker by using our affiliates. BrickPicker gets a very small percentage of any sales through the affiliate programs. These affiliate purchases will help to keep the site, databases, and software costs in check. We hope you like BrickPicker and all the information here, the great services here cost money and the site is free. Try to help support us in keeping it that way. The costs can be significant, especially the information provided from EBay for the Brickfolio information. Sometimes you will see new members post information about cashback sites or credit card affiliates. We either have filters in place to censor the names of the sites, or mods will usually delete the posts when members discuss cashback programs, etc. It's not that we hate or don't believe in other cashback programs, we just want to promote the use of BrickPicker and the use of our affiliate program is another way you can help keep the site afloat and to bring new services that provide great LEGO information and tools to assist you in making good investment choices. If you look at the links in the Daily Deals main post, many have affiliate tags in them. I highlighted the tags in red. Amazon.com = http://www.amazon.co.../dp/B00CNBS5WE/? I used to collect the Shell promo sets, but honestly this is not a good partnership for Lego. Shell has an abysmal environmental record all over the world, not just in the Arctic, and it makes good business sense for a toy company to try and avoid this sort of controversy. If you're selling toys, you want people to associate your product with happy, playful images, not leaking pipelines or sea birds coated in crude oil. It reminds me a little of the Jabba's Palace controversy last Spring, where some German group representing muslims of Turkish dissent said the set was bad because it looked like a mosque in Istanbul (fun fact: before Istanbul was conquered by the Ottoman Empire, back when it was named Constantinople, the "mosque" in question was in fact a church). The funny thing is, they were right. Of course, that's because the source material, the images of Jabba's Palace from RotJ, also looked like the building in question. Anyway, if I were running Lego, I'd steer clear of anything that gets people so riled up.1 point

I understand what you are saying.but the bottom line is that any buyer can say that parts/minifigures are missing.regardless,if you have put NIB,NISB,or anything else.If I'm going to buy a expensive set, from a seller on Ebay, then I would rather check the contents of the box,to see if all is there. It all comes down to honesty & trust.so far, touch wood,I have never been scammed by a buyer or seller.99% of Ebay users are honest & trustworthy.it's that 1%,who will take advantage, and try to pull a fast one.1 point

If you are selling this on eBay I would suggest reading over ebays policy as they are cut and dry about this. This puts the seller at risk for a guaranteed loss. What's to say you list it as new, ship it to the buyer, they remove the minifugures, open a "item not as described" case since the set was opened. What recourse does the seller have? How can you prove that set was all there before you sent it? The only thing you have is your word and we all know how eBay is with cases. The buyers are priority so don't get caught with this, I learned my mistake the hard way. I don't want anyone else having that problem or feeding misinformation to the new people of the forum.1 point

See links in main post. Without discounted GC, 15% off coupon on those sets is marginally useless - you can probably find better deals elsewhere1 point

Shoot, I have been waiting to see that documentary for a few years now but then let myself get sidetracked and forgot all about it. Thanks for the reminder! Now I recall there was supposed to be a film on various indie game developers. I don't know if that was completed yet or even the name. Ugh, I'm so absent minded. :wacko:1 point

Twitter can be used in several ways. If you actually want to tweet friends and other members, it works well as a social tool. If you want to use it to find out information and keep up to date with almost instantaneous news, it also shines. I use it for news and don't waste time with idiot reality or movie stars. Howard Stern is the craziest person that I follow, but most are sites like Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Sports Illustrated, and individual sports writers. Don't be intimidated. You don't have to tweet with anyone, just read their posts. Sent from my iPad using Brickpicker1 point

Every Long Term Investor should have at least 5 or more Sea Cows for Investment, As people will be watching the Lego Movies on DVD for many years down the road. So its not that this Set will just vanish and everybody will just forget about it. Now there is plenty time to get this set, but starting next year it would not hurt to pick one up now and then. And don't forget about the Simpson House to, along with other Exclusives these 2 will do very good once retired. Ed1 point

A lot of people talk about the new Star Wars movies and wonder if they'll they bring back the Falcon or a new Death Star or whatever, but it seems like everyone's missing a point that should be obvious: Lego and Star Wars will want to promote the hell out of the new movies, and the new ships and characters. I think we're more likely to see a whole slew of ships we've never heard of before. Avengers, Guardians, Spider-Man, Lego Movie, you name it1 point
