OK, Here we go. Dimensions Height: 6 9/16 inches Width (at bottom holes): 5 9/16 inches I've attached a PDF and PNG of just the cloth top/sail so people can print it out and cut/trace their own. Below, I've added Dropbox links to high resolution (300dpi) scans with horizontal/vertical rulers in PNG, PDF and PSD formats in case people want to play with them. All the files are larger than the 10MB max upload size so I have to use links. For those who haven't seen this tutorial before it is an extremely helpful video on how to bricklink sets like a pro: (skip to about 1:44 on the video, the first minute and a half is him complaining about prices) I'm so glad I found this video. Literally, before I knew you could bricklink like that what I would do is bring up the parts list on brickset and then buy the pieces ONE BY ONE.4 points

Are you seeing any other benefit to their app, or is it a one and done thing? On an unrelated note, I wonder if that gal in the Flatbed Truck set was on her way to her job at the Research Institute when her car broke down.3 points

Don't hate, I got me my first 10228! Yay! Got one of the last two at the Lego store in Danbury Fair Mall in Danbury, CT. Two very funny things at checkout. 1. Women DO love the Haunted House. As I was checking out, the lady in front of me who just made a purchase (Don't know what she bought; I was way to busy staring at Vampyre's Bride's' bouncy...hair...and the rest of the set!). Anyway, the lady looked at the set and said "Wow! That's an awesome looking set!" 2. As I was about to claim my free Balloon Cart, Nina's '99 Luft Balons' was playing in the store! The original and better German version, no less!!! Lol. Can you tell how excited I am, boils and ghouls!!!! Lol3 points

I finally bought a Delorean with the $5 Amazon app discount Exciter1 posted. Added a beard trimmer to my cart to get free shipping. No beard yet, but it's something I'm working on. Is there a beard trimming thread on Brickpicker?2 points

Two Mexicans are lost in the desert. They are tired and hungry and thirsty. Suddenly one of them shouts: "Look amigo! Is a bacon bush!" He runs towards it, only to get shot down by a hail of bullets. With his last breath he shouts: "Run amigo! Is not a bacon bush, is a 'ambush!" --- say it in your finest Mexican accent and it might just make sense --- Also why was the word association topic locked?1 point

Yes, you are responsible. The shipping company you contracted with failed to deliver the product in the condition you advertised to the buyer. If you purchased insurance or if you used a shipper who offers some basic insurance free, you can file a claim with them - contact them to find out their procedures. Apologize to the buyer and see if he asks for anything. If he doesn't (just wants to build it, etc.) not a big problem. If he does open a claim, you'll lose.1 point

Hey game I actually think all the current big exclusives are impressive especially the camper, sopwith, modulars, TB, and HH. I have been stocking up on the T1, sopwith, and GE and now I got decent number of them (to my standard anyway ) I'm looking to maybe shift the focus a little bit. I'm not a huge star war fan but I think the r2 will be big seller once done as it is just too iconic. So I'm mainly debating whether to get more HH or R2.1 point

I wouldn't waste any time worrying about it. Provided he sent the messages to you regarding the wrong address etc. through eBay messages, it doesn't matter if he's verified through PayPal or using a verified address - eBay will look at the messages back and forth in case of dispute and side with you if you send it and it's delivered where he tells you to send it.1 point

I may have missed something but are there any signs of eol for HH other than close to the 2 year mark?1 point

I wanted 10190 Market Street to complete my modular collection but at $500-600 USED! there was no way i could justify buying it. So i decided to build it on brick link instead, however after pricing everything out on a massive excel spread sheet i realized it was stilling going to cost nearly $250. So instead i built two of them, when finished i sold one of them for $500 and used the profits to cover the cost of the other building, so basically i got a MS for free + my time. Time...ah yes, it took me nearly 3 months to complete them, and i ordered from 17 different stores, it was a massive under taking. While i did make $500 (the value of the MS i got to keep) i would guess i spent close to 50+ hours working on it, maybe more, at best i was making minimum wage for my effort. Also, there were certain pieces that were very difficult to find enough of on all of bricklink to build two MS, if i would have been trying to build 3 i wouldnt have been able to do it. So i would say yes you could make money off of doing this but not as much as you think and it will be more difficult than you can ever possible imagine.1 point

It's happened to me twice. Both time items were small. I took a cell phone picture of the label, uploaded it to my computer and sent it to the buyer saying that they will have to pay X amount for me to ship it again. Although, keep in mind that, I do offer a complete refund if they don't want to pay for shipping a second time.1 point

I was bricklinking 21001 John Hancock for $12 but the one seller in Canada ran out of name plates. It was quick easy profit only 69 pieces. I tried doing Marina Bay Sands but Lego said no extra name plates available due to a contractual limit. Point being there is money to be made in smaller sets it is easier and shipping is cheaper.1 point

I think he's just referring to the anticipated amount of time between his purchase and the retirement of the SSD and the excitement is due to hopefully not having to sit on it for very long until EOL.1 point
-
He means the timespan from him buying to it going EOL would be short, assuming it doesn't come back.1 point

Yeah I agree, don't get me wrong I'm excited I bought one for my personal collection but I'd wind down the excitement one notch lol1 point

If we are talking something small and low shipping charges, I would just reship it. Its frustrating and obviously not your fault, but there is not a ton of risk. However, make sure it is verified through paypal. If its not, tell him it needs to be. As far as Ebay is concerned you will be in the right. I had this happen before. If you want to request he pay the charges, send him a paypal invoice for them.1 point

Just thought I would start this thread for anyone who is interested in Bricklinking sets or has made this there way of investing. Please share what you would think the best sets would be to Bricklink in order to sell later. Also curious if this style of investing would even work. I want to bricklink one of these sets: 10129 Rebel Snowspeeder (small amount of pieces with big return) Death Star II 7191 X-Wing Taj Mahal (lot of work) Thanks, Simon_GM1 point

Guys I don't think the Finance executives for the Lego Group would keep their jobs long if they spend millions investment in creating 1 set such as the Triple E, having it sell so well it sells out constantly, and then discontinues it in its first year....not to be rude...but come on, use some logic here.1 point
