Send them a note back stating: I too have been in and out of the hospital and have to sell my childs LEGO collection to pay the bills. This is why I have to charge the prices I do. I can't express what a kindness you would be doing for my family if you just paid the asking price. My family would be ecstatic if I could pay off the bills before I die. scammer4life6665 points

Yes, Emazers would agree on buying GE,SSD,Volkswagen Campers,Tower Bridges, all the stuff that should be done sooner than later. But usually lego Retires sets at the end of the year not in the middle of the year, so my guess is that the GE,and even the SSD will be around for a few more months, as for the R2-D2 as just being only 2 years old I would think it has more time, but its anybody's guess. so buying sets that are coming out this month or so for investment is a big mistake. You have plenty of time for those sets. From now til the end of the year I am buying these sets. 1-SSD 2-GE 3-Tower Bridges 4-10220 Camper 5-R2-D2 6-Pet Shops 7-Town halls 8-Even more DS 9-And a Batman Ayslum & Tower of Othanic here and there.3 points

Here is an opportunity for many of you fence sitters to get in the game and buy this set. If you want one...or ten...buy them now. Don't worry about the Mixer or the Parisian Restaurant...Buy the Grand Emporium. emazers would agree with me.3 points

I am torn. I really wanted to order the mixer if it was the early VIP release but I want the poly bag as well. I don't like how they have structured that....3 points

No reason to wait for proof. There's no doubt it happened and you admit to sending it incorrectly. Send the refund.3 points

I had a good laugh when I googled "may 15th lego exclusive vip set". Your Micheal Corleone and Migration's shifter are the top 2 google images for some reason. That ought to leave non brickpicker LEGO fans scratching their heads.3 points

Rebuild the set and take 12 very good pictures from different angles. Take the ship apart and put in zip lock bags. Look at sold listings on eBay and chose a good Buy It Now price based on past sales. Once it sells put in a good box and ship. In most cases when I don't have instructions I use ones found online and state that my buyer should do the same.2 points

Sample description box: Why are you even reading this? If you scrolled down here instead of already clicking Buy It Now it obviously means you don't have enough money to buy the set. Just go back to looking at MegaBloks already.2 points

PR has a base of 32 pins. The cafe (second building) seems to have a base of 16 pins. I get rid of minifigs (it didn't looked accurate), and resized scale. Side by side it would look that way: '> Note that the "cafe" really reminds me the parisian restaurant (that's why I compared with it).2 points

I just wrapped up editing this video. I'd love to know what all of you think.1 point

It looks like the cheapest set of instructions I can find is around $35. That is pretty pricey when I'm thinking the entire lot will sell for $150-200. I may even print off the PDF files of instructions and send with the package.1 point

I wouldn't make so much fun of that. Remember Godfather part 3? Here is a fragment below: MIGRATION The Corleone1 point

If that's what really happened, I'll be getting my pitchforks and torches ready. Exactly where is 2nd and Charles? Is it north or south of 1st and Main?1 point

Yup, me 2. I'm almost sure at this point that they did that to avoid being late on their shipping metric. You can always purchase postage then reverse the charges. Going to ask amazon to investigate. Totally unprofessional . I'm fine with a letter admitting responsibility for an error , but not these childish shenanigans .1 point

If you've never read Quac's posts about Technic sets and their ROI, you might want to. http://blog.brickpicker.com/lego-technic-investments-on-the-fast-track-or-in-the-shop-part-1/ The audience for Technic as a whole seems to be smaller, but I'd say plenty of AFOLs with some cash like the theme.1 point

Arise, Sir Bold-Arrow. Two days to open, another four days to close (those are the minimums). You can automate it in your settings so you don't have to remember to do it. For fixed price or buy it now, you can also set up your listings for Immediate Payment Required - when they buy, they pay, or they can't buy (they can put it in their cart, but that keeps it available for anyone else to buy).1 point

you can't give a buyer a negative period.. eBay will mark their account as a non paying buyer but that will be kept for internal use only. In the very unlikely case they leave you a negative, eBay will remove it. As always just make sure you go thru the proper producers ( open case, wait, close case).1 point

If you pick them up in store possibly but check ebay first as flippers will bid this down. The Simpsons House was $200 and was going for $279 not much profit to be made. I think this set will only be a winner if they start a new line and add other carnival rides and people will want the first one.1 point

My daughter told her she had her own problems to deal with and wished her well. I looked her up and seems gamer4life777 has made some recent purchases but I wonder if people that sold gave her a bargain.1 point

What I had to do was put in the stormcast coupon first, then put in the j!nx15del and then put the stormcast one back in.1 point
-
I used two coupons in my order: stormcast for 10% off and j!nx15del for free shipping. It cost me $94.47 for three sets.1 point

Per the Store Calendar that I picked up "VIP Only: Get Early Access to preview and buy a new exclusive LEGO set starting May 15! Early access valid May 15-31. Not a VIP member? Ask a Brick Specialist how to sign up today!" So it should be exclusive until May 31st.1 point

Going, going, gone! Home run Michael Jack Schmidt. The buyer paid for the MISB 10132 Motorized Hogwarts Express. I love empty space on my older shelving units since it means less bigger boxes stacked on the floor in front of them. Sent from an iPhone using the Brickpicker app1 point

If his post office received the item damaged, they will have provided him with a document saying, in official language, "We're soooooorrrrrrry our machine devoured your stuff, k?" If he produces photos of the damaged package and the note from the post office, I'd refund or replace without a murmur. If he can't, I'd ask him to return the item for a full refund. Did you ship first class PACKAGE or first class LETTER? If letter, don't ever do that again - it's for letters, not little bits of plastic, and the machinery your "letter" goes through in the sorting process can destroy tungsten steel, much less innocent little bricks or figs. If package, how much padding did you use, and was this a poly bubble mailer or a paper mailer (bubble or otherwise)? I have switched entirely to the poly mailers, they are much harder for the post office to mangle to the point of tearing.1 point

Found a new Toy Store in my local mall. They have tons of older LEGO. All retail prices. Small Space Police sets, some Pharaohs Quest, 6864 Two Face Chase, whole bunch of 9516 JP. 2 MINT Robie Houses for 199.99 ea. I did pick up a 9471 at retail. Had to. I may go back and grab those Robie Houses even at retail. Left a whole bunch of polys at a brand New 5 Below, including Mini Hogwarts Express, Tonto's Campfire, and Mirkwood Elf Guards.1 point

I have invested in one Ninjago set at 50% discount. The Core European market is vastly different from the US market (anecdotal evidence). We aren't in the superheroes stuff that much. Friends has been extremely popular. Even though I value Emazers feedback massively (if only I could get into a group with him ), I do not copy past it for the European market I'm positioned on. Ninjago and Chima are tricky. 1. You cannot expect these sets to appreciate long-term as the interest from collectors isn't there and kids will play more games, do less toys long-term. 2. They are heavily promoted through films for kids. Once the fuzz drops, nobody will want them anymore. 3. A lot of competition in that area 4. not of lot of bricks can be used for MOCS 5. the sets have been sitting on the shelves for ages in the shops I visit (even after discuonts) 6. after EoL, the old sets haven't sold well in Europe. The volume checks I make online show little volume 7. Chima is the same concept - doing well in some regions, just almost a complete "miss" in Europe. (even though the temple looks like showing MOC potential) 8. Turtles also looks +/- the same to me My conclusion: risky business to get in massively.1 point

Nice! I wish they were that price for longer on May 4th. I'd actually go back for them all, if you are at all into parting sets out. I can picture the set doing really well in the future, especially with Boba Fett in it.1 point
