  1. Posting and emails should be back to normal now. At least I hope so

  2. I'm only worried about getting one of these to build during the first possible chance at x2 or x3 VIP. I'll worry about investment potential much later.

  7. Congrats! It always feels good when you can clear your inventory of a few dogs. I felt the same way when I finally unloaded my home ones and portal of Atlantis sets last year. Sent from my iPad using Brickpicker

  8. This. I Basically take everything out like refunds shipments etc. as expenses. And yes, without a doubt paypal DOES NOT give easy access to critical numbers for any of us who take payments through them
    1 point
  9. Just use the paypal number for gross sales (because that's what's reported to irs) and use the difference as an expense (either refunds/discounts or another cost-of-goods-sold) to bring the revenue number down to what your records show. ---Keep it secret. Keep it safe.---

  12. The pics a few posts above say in red font "Available in July" on the movie items and "Available in April" for the Turtle Sub which appears to be a cartoon set. I think the series one turtle sets will do quite well, especially the ones that dont show up again. It appears they're ALL clearanced out at my targets other than the Shredder bike. Does that mean the Shredder bike will be the only one to stay on shelves, along with the Series 2 items? Who knows.

  14. I would just search the German/French ebay for "lego [set number]" and see how other people call it. Or do you have some rare old sets?

  15. I do understand the appeal, especially from parent perspective. Bucket of bricks is supposed to bolster creativity and encourage unstructured play, similar to architecture studio (well, except without the book). But, usually, there are cheaper, ppp wise, options available for any given time. Yet out of production buckets easily command premium prices - that I don't understand. ..

  17. Who would've thunk a 'plain jane' tub of equally simple bricks that has sat around my Walmart forever could have gone for so much when it finally kicked the bucket? I guess people are rather desperate for that 16x16 baseplate then.

  18. I like it but what is getting me is the new UCS logo. I would have expected at least the plaque that has the stats like all the other UCS have. So the question now is, will they keep using that logo for all future UCS sets? AND, now that it actually says UCS on the box and yet doesn't have a number starting with 10???, will there be any more UCS sets that DO start with a 10??? The only other thing i was hoping for that we didn't get is some Tusken Raiders. But maybe there will be a new set for them as well down the line.

  23. I think the minifigures based on the Nick cartoon appear more true to the original source than the ones for the film. I wish there were some way better close-ups of them but this is all I could muster. It's taken from the Press Release 2014 catalog.

  25. It's been out for going on four years. Probably due. Since my B&******'s are out of Robie Houses, I started using my coupons on them. Not that anyone cares, but visually it's the architecture set I find most appealing as well.

  27. Double points means you'll get 10% (5% more than normal) in actual dollars than you would this month. Single points plus Martian Manhunter means you get 5% in actual dollars back, plus Martian. If you go with conventional wisdom that says you can probably clear $15 - $20 from Martian after fees, you'd have to spend $300 to $400 in a single transaction in April to equal what you can probably get in March. If your exclusives can be broken up and you can get more than one Martian (which sometimes you can and sometimes you can't, the promo does say one per household) that $300 - $400 number goes up.

  29. I was being facetious. Lol, the sun, when it comes out, is scary! Lol Thank you all for the warm welcome. Really cool! I signed up at Brickset and a couple others. Really excited to get started on this journey. And I must agree, the original trilogy is far superior to the prequels. A fact my sons and daughter are becoming fully versed in. Though I must admit, the lego series movies are pretty entertaining. And yes I am married, my wife shares my love of Star Wars and supports my new endeavor, though she is a little weary, reading your guys' posts elevate her interest and optimism while drawing out a few giggles as well. Good times. And I am in the Silverdale area, and work out of the Bremerton base. Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker

  31. Finally sold my last Anakin's vs. Sebulba's Pod Racer set and a few polybags. I also sold my last Republic Frigate, Landspeeders and Maul's Sith Infiltrator this week. Well, I'm actually holding onto one of the Sith Infiltrators for myself. Star Wars is selling pretty well right now.

  35. TMNT sets will be huge when they retire...movie or no movie...great movie or terrible movie. Every other TMNT toy sells like crazy. They can't keep TMNT toys stocked during Christmas. I've been selling them for years. This would be the VERY FIRST TMNT toys that don't do well. (That I know of.) I don't see that happening. Feel free to bet against 20 plus years of success if that is your prerogative... ...and while you might not like Bay movies, kids love them and they sell tickets like crazy.

  40. I give you a lot of credit. Working on computers/websites all day, then working on BP on your free time. I'm a Honda mechanic. By the end of the day I have had enough of cars. I don't even like driving my self home. That what I love about the Legos, unrelated. I try to stay away from the Lego cars even

  42. The cockpit and viewports look horrible. I hope that is not any official Lego build. The 2x1 yellow plates look very simple and not like it was an actual Lego set.

  43. Where are the droids? The Jawa's cant have a yard sale without droids? How are they going to stay in business? They may need to get with the Empire so they can collect welfare, droid stamps, and sign up for Empire-Care (if the website works).

  44. He is beginning to get negative feedback on Amazon, and things like "Arkham Asylum" and "Palace Cinema" are being mentioned. He did reply to one of the complaints that the order is coming, so presumably he did not just disappear. Sketchiness alarm is certainly through the roof, since he repeatedly avoids tracking when shipping. I wonder though if he does have the tracking info, but just not sharing it, which might imply drop-shipping...
