  4. I just do it by putting a camera on the box - it shows me putting it in and never goes off until the person receives it. Then it tapes them opening it. Sure, I pay thousands of dollars in cameras, but I don't lose packages.

  5. Space and price. I mean, if you buy all the modulars in that thing you are talking about like 3K.

  6. Always open a case within the Buyer Protection window, no matter what. It's not your responsibility to wait for USPS to refund the seller. If you are outside the time limit, then your only recourse if the seller doesn't come through would be to file a case with your credit card company if your purchase was funded via PayPal through a credit card. If you funded it solely out of your PayPal balance, then you may be out of luck. This is one reason Paypal always wants you to use your balance instead of a credit card (to avoid this last defense for buyers) and why sellers should only buy things from a separate account that has no balance and is therefore forced to use a credit card.

  7. So using managed returns Justafrog - have you had people that refuse to check out through the managed returns? I have had two people now just send me back stuff they didn't want. I told them they must go through the return system because thats the way it properly gets put back: - return money properly while canceling item - get back Ebay fees - Relisting fee waived, etc. But they just don't respond. I haven't refunded them yet - I assume I just continue on not refunding them. They haven't said anything about the restocking fee, but I am sure as hell not waiving it - between the two items I paid $25 in shipping and I am not taking a loss because they can't read a listing.

  8. Because I am a packer fan and he chews up our pathetic defense and spits it out every time we play them. I have had enough. Lol

  9. Thanks for the intel. I actually scored many unbelievable sets on Friday at a crappy Wally, the story of which, and the resulting road trip I hope to share later. As is the case in life, sometimes timing is everything!

  13. I'll call it the other way...San Diego players will be on oxygen by the half and Denver wins despite Manning's propensity for post season choking.

  16. Packer fan, but I am cheering for the Seahawks with Russell Wilson. I wouldn't mind the Patriots either, just not Manning...

  17. More teams in the playoffs is a sham. We don't need more teams, we need the best teams. The retarded Division crap is ridiculous. Your divisions should just determine who you play. Reseed for playoffs 1-6 by best record and other tie breakers. Teams like Arizona will make it in and could win it all while teams like GreenBay and Philly wont host playoff games just because they won their crappy division. Also calling it right now - Chargers beat Denver.

  26. Yup - not even three weeks removed from it's discounted price on S@H, and eBay listings are for around $100. There's also only 40 listings, so prices should continue to increase relatively fast.

  28. The video idea gets floated a lot amongst eBay sellers, but scuttfarkas has it correct: it's pointless. I can show myself wrapping up my best pearl necklace, putting it in a box, and sticking a label on it, but there's nothing to say that as soon as the camera's off I don't unpack it again, put in a string of white beads, and ship that to the customer. Don't be scared of eBay. It's like selling anywhere else - you can protect yourself to a very significant amount using various eBay tools, obeying the rules, shipping with insurance if you're worried about the dollar amount or you get a "feeling" about the buyer, etc. You'll still occasionally get ripped off, but it'll be a very, very minor part of your business and EVERY business owner gets stuff stolen occasionally, regardless of where or how you sell.

  29. I just slapped a 14 days return policy on all my Christmas shippement in case anything was delivered late-in all truth I didn't promise anyone a Christmas delivery. Everything but one was delivered. The one shows no tracking but haven't heard from buyer yet and so I'm gonna leave it at that . If it arrives lates they can return it, I probably will pay for return shipping if they make a huge fuss since one negative will kill me at this stage.
