  1. Well if it`s Hulk vs Hulk we`re talking about there, I have to vote for Hulk. I mean, Hulk is good, but you know, Hulk is better.

  2. My parents went to an estate sale while I was in school today and they found some Lego sets. Mostly old 1970's classic space sets.

  9. Right now, I think if you can find any of the 4-digit Friends sets at retail (and you don't already have inventory purchased at a discount) you can't lose. Those sets should all be EOL (except for maybe SRC, ToysRUs exclusives sometimes hang around longer) by middle of this year which means next Christmas season they will be in high demand.

  13. Finally scored a DS at B&****** for $260 (last day before my kids club coupon expired). Might be the only one I get. My daughter made my laugh when she asked me as we were checking out, "I really want to build this one. Are you just going to sell it?" Everyone in line and the cashier heard. I was the only one who laughed. Found a Robie House at TRU for $170. I still shocks me that this is only Lego set I have ever seen there where the shelf price is below MSRP. They list it for $186. I am sad to see it go. Also picked up a store order of Funhouses and Barrel Escapes. One of each brings them to $27 a piece with the $15 off $60.

  14. The only time when I've had the clutch power loosen on a LEGO set was when the pieces were cracked. If they aren't cracked, you shouldn't worry too much. A while back I got the Green Grocer (while it was still available for retail price) and built it. I eventually thought of all the great things I could create with the pieces and took it apart and built a few houses. About a year later at Christmas, I was expecting to receive another modular and wanted to put them together, so I built it again. I never had the pieces lose clutch power, and it is currently being displayed with all my other modulars. As long as you have your sets out of direct sunlight and do not get your pieces dirty, than I would not worry about damage to the set.

  15. Sun damage will be your biggest enemy, especially with your imperial shuttle, make sure your sets are out of direct sunlight. I have never heard about clutch power fading over time with a set that is built and displayed.

  16. If you have them built and you like looking at them, why does it matter what happens to the value later? If they're strictly for investment, take them apart and put them away. I haven't heard of a set being damaged from being built too long, other than sun damage.

  17.     They are easy enough to add. "Hey Ariel, it's me, Prince Whatever"....Wham! Flick-fire right to his grill. That actually might make me want to build that set. :)
