  1. My routine at In-N-Out consists of a Double Double, some fries, and strawberry shake..

  2. Why is everyone getting so worked up about the guy trying to sell the Simpsons house on eBay? He is free to charge whatever he would like. Sure he is insane and if someone buys it they are even more so but isn't this what we are all doing. Buying up Lego sets to sell them on eBay or Amazon at a higher price? Should we be mad at all the people that took the Dolphin Cruiser out of the hands of little girls this past Christmas by buying them all up and putting them on eBay for twice the price. Or all those that bought up the Architecture Studios so no one could find them at any B&****** during Christmas. The way I see it everyone is free to try to make money off of this Lego investing thing any way they can. Sure he is an idiot but who cares.

  3. Yeah, what's up with that, from what I can tell Stephanie has a plane, horse, sport car, and apparently a beach house. Must be a Kardashian :-/

  4. Honestly, I would LOVE a Cruiseship theme more than anything. They could try to get a license from Royal Caribbean or even Disney (probably easier) and reproduce the ships!

  6. I was shocked to find out that, after all these years, I still had my somewhat large collection of space lego from 1978-1982. My wife told me it was in our storage room, and lo and behold, she was right - I had no clue for 12 years! So I gave it to my son for Christmas, and we've been building the original sets, using online copies of the original instruction manuals. I'm actually looking to expand the collection, not as an investor, but for constructive play for my children. As such, I don't really care about condition or whether it comes in the original boxes, etc. I have noticed that the market values listed on this very organized site are about half of what they are listed on ebay. If someone here could point me in the direction toward shops where I could get vintage/classic sets for market value, it would be very much appreciated! Thanks a million! John

  8. For all intents and purposes, the value of your Brickfolio did increase by 40%. Each set you input increased the total value of your Brickfolio. Now I understand what you are talking about, but to come up with that number, a more complex system of tracking and data inputs will be required and all new code will have to be written. We have plans at some point in 2014 to revamp the Brickfolio and to come up with more options in the graph/charts area. Some improvements and upgrades will be part of the premium package.

  9. No, of course not. It's a lousy investment. The worst you could ever buy. Don't waste your money.

  10. Hey everyone, I'm in Canada and I have the option to buy many Olivia's Tree House' # 3065 for $20 after taxes and shipping (from a Canadian retailer) Should I be loading up on these? seems like it's very hard to find and already selling for much more. What do you propose this set could be worth next Christmas? $50-$60? Your input is greatly appreciated THANKS! Sorry if a thread already exists on this set, but I searched and couldn't find anything specifically....

  11. This is where I get my cases. They take pre-orders and usually ship a couple weeks after they are released in retail stores. The shipping packages/boxes are straight from Lego, very nice. The prices are about $180 for a a case, with free shipping... and no taxes, so it works out to $3 a pack. http://www.ebay.com/itm/221347431786?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

  12. You can sometimes ask your local retailer such as Target or Walmart at customer service if you may buy a sealed case of Lego Minifigures from them. I've done this a couple times at my nearby Five Below. Course it can help if the people there know you.

  13. Minifigures Plus has always had sealed cases of CMF's as well.

  14. eBay has worked well for me. Chowren Toys seems to have higher prices.

  15. That $3.99 price is just for the Simpsons CMFs probably because of all the new molds they have to create for the characters. The normal CMFs will most likely stay at $2.99.

  16. I regret not buying two of these when TRU had the BOGO 50% off a few weeks ago. I settled for this deal (15% off $60) to make sure I got one before I was at the mercy of eBay and Bricklink. Happy to have this in my personal collection. I'm waiting to open it in the Fall (with the Haunted House).

  17. Import/custom fees might drive buyers to choose a fellow countrymen. When I buy from Bricklink, I check all Canadian sellers first for sets I want because I know I won't be hit with extra fees and shipping is generally quite a bit cheaper than international shipping.

  18. I'm in the same boat. I don't want to miss out on this piece, so I'm thinking I need to pick this up now.

  19. I`d probably do it. At least 4 or so. A better discount would be ideal, even down to the $14 others mentioned, but $20 isn`t too shabby, and there will be some money to be made even there. The set is on the way out and is already doing quite well, so it`s a safe bet IMHO.

  20. I do not return sets for a discount. In a case of buying a set(or any item) from a retailer and the set goes on sale shortly thereafter, I will contact that retailer for a refund. 99% of the time, the retailer will refund the difference. If you are desperate enough to work the system by buying sets at KMart or TRU and returning them at a LEGO store, then this site is not for you. That is one of the reasons resellers and investors are getting a bad reputation. I have to believe though that these retailers need to be more proactive in the returns department. Target restricts returns without a receipt to a few returns. It is a good policy. On a personal note, my wife thought she was doing a good thing and bought me a Prince of Persia set at 50% off at Marshalls. She did not see the tape over the seals. The set was missing the minifigures. Damn crooked reselling return thieves!!!

  22. Jabba Palace at 77 on eBay. A great price for me as it is cheaper than the earlier Target special once I added in tax

  23. Lucked out: I waited too long on LR Constitution Train and thought I missed the boat. I went into Walmart early this morning, and found one in minty condition on the shelf by its lonesome. Must have been a Christmas return. Scanned at $79...beats paying some LEGO flipper on eBay...erm, uhh, wait... Of course, the downside - I'll have to explain where the train came from when it's 'discovered' on the train table by the only non-AFOL in the house!

  24. I love it. I would love to see a whole theme of different ship types. The Titantic would be awesome.
