  2. You sir are WAY too positive for most members here... can you tone it down a notch? Can't believe the complaints about how the house looks... it's perfectly Simpsons.

  6. It has been confirmed the next (4th) Minecraft set will be based on The End numbered as 21107. It should be the same retail as the previous releases and at least one of the micro mob characters an Enderman. The Brick Fan

  8. Man a lot of choices. Do you like difficulty, best value display wise? Playability? Difficulty - buy a technic set. Awesome and challenging. I just build the backhoe loader 42004 and its pretty sweet. The 4 Wheeler looks pretty intriguing as well.

  9. Grounds for divorce When an item is canceled, how do you get reimbursed for the fees? I sold one and it was canceled but Bricklink still invoiced me.

  11. Whether these sets do well or not they are winners. Going to bring a lot of non-lego fans to the world of Lego.

  12. Haha, the hubcaps were his idea! I did add a 2x2 slope piece from the helicopter with the Batman logo on the top, but otherwise I was instructed to use black and blue only to match the suit. I expect a large number of modifications will be made before I get home tonight.

  13. I was organizing stuff in my garage when my 5-year old discovered me and immediately saw the Batman Dictionary I had out. After looking through it, we decided that Electro-Suit Batman needed a vehicle. And why doesn't he have a pickup truck yet? I am pretty terrible at MOCs so pretty proud of this so far, haha. My son disappeared for a minute and came back with the red and yellow glider for Robin to man on top of the truck. :-)

  14. The idea not to get established lego consumers to buy more (although that's always a plus), but rather to turn non lego fans into lego fans with sets that appeal to different interests. In that respect, I think lego is doing a fantastic job.

  16. The first wave LOTR sets are very nice investments. Even Gandalf arrives will double in price in a year. The best winners will be HD, Orc forge, Uruk hai army, MOM and the Pirate ship ambush. All of these sets have either exclusive minifigs, are a great build or both. Unexpected gathering is my favourite for Hobbit. Best set so far.

  17. I always liked the bat knights. They remind me of some of the bad guys in the movie the Beastmaster.

  22. I'm gettign ready to watch Can. vs. Fin. and checking out LEGO deals and I noticed that Amazon.ca has matched the Sears price on several sets. Rancor Pit, Olivia's House & JEK-14's Stealth Fighter among them. Since you can use the $10 coupon with Sears over $100, amazon.ca only makes sense if you wanted to order just a set for yourself to build and your order is under $100 AND you wanted free delivery. With Sears orders, I think it is $12.95 for house delivery, and even $3.95 with ship to store (which I always go for so I can check out my boxes all at once) so if you're only ordering a single set, this would be the way to go. Still, I'm excited that maybe, maybe, the new toys section of Amazon Canada is going to regularly become more a force in the LEGO world.

  23. In the not so distant future, TLG will only produce white bricks to avoid alienating color blind consumers (Architecture Studio was a trial run). Also, they will stop producing "male" and "female" connectors, as they are clearly sexist pieces.

  24. At $20, no brainier. Figs alone are worth double that. The value really isn`t so much the books as the figures, so I`m suggest flipping the books my themselves just to recoup cost, hang onto the figs for a while longer, then sell for maximum profit. The books won`t likely go up very much if at all, so get rid of them now.
