  8. I brought them into store last night, and they replaced them without a problem. They were VERY loaded with all manner of Lone Ranger stuff, and the amount of Monster Fighters they had in stock was slightly depressing. Their "Clearance Blast" was more like a "Clearance Breeze" as there was a bunch of crap that was still overpriced. (No Lego) I did pick up an old Cars Mack truck though for $44.99. Someone must have returned it. Grabbed a Turkey Polybag and used my last Wendy's coupon.

  9. I finally had a chance to watch the DVD a day ago. Well, put this on the list of "Why I never listen to critics ever". This was a really good popcorn movie. Okay, so it did run for a little over two hours which seems to be the main overall complaint I have read from comments left on RottenTomatoes among other sites and rather over the top but it was a fun western more enjoyable than the original TV series. Funny to note, the movie started the same way as the TV series with the bank robbery bit. It was unusual with the crow atop of Johnny Depp's nogin but isn't far from reality at all. Speaking of which, here is the "I Am Crow" painting Tonto's design was taken from. I've said it before and I'll say it again (or at least thought about it). F**k critics and the horse they rode in on. :bug:

  11. Agreed. For lack of a better pun, it truly is the 'flagship' of the theme. Also think Benny's Kraglizer spaceship will be a good one being classic Space and BIG. ....That's kind of the point. :prankster:

  12. I recently purchased and built the tower of Orthanc. Instead of using the numbered bags, I dumped them all together in a big box. It made the build more of a challenge. The tower was much larger than I expected and had excelent detail.

  13. Lucked out: I waited too long on LR Constitution Train and thought I missed the boat. I went into Walmart early this morning, and found one in minty condition on the shelf by its lonesome. Must have been a Christmas return. Scanned at $79...beats paying some LEGO flipper on eBay...erm, uhh, wait... Of course, the downside - I'll have to explain where the train came from when it's 'discovered' on the train table by the only non-AFOL in the house!

  14. I would say no to a reserve. Instead of a reserve, just start your auction at what your reserve would be, or set your buy it now listing at a price higher than your reserve, and then allow bidders to send you best offers. I think the only time someone would want to use a reserve is if they are selling a very rare item or maybe a car or something.

  17. I am going to post the blog text in the thread for everyone - luckily I had it saved: If you buy a lot of Lego sets, you know Amazon.om is a great place to get them. They usually have some of the best prices out there, they have excellent shipping terms with Amazon Prime and with their super saving shipping, and they price match everything (they actually price match everything TRU rather than just stating that they do

  18. If your only enjoyment out of this forum is to get off on others comments that you like to troll, then what is the point of being here?

  19. Booooyaaaaw! And it will also be back in 2015. Watching this forum is like watching mother in law whining on penny stocks. Every little move by lego is like a major whiplash from a car accident. Ever notice that each week, there is someone posting something about a set being discontinued? What's next? Lets hurry up and discontinue the Maersk ship! I didn't buy that yet!! No wait, maybe it won't discontinue till next year? Or the year after?

  20. Yup. I made this point in the Helm's Deep topic and was bashed as a troll. I understand that people don't like hearing opposing points of view when their money is on the line and they bet on these sets going away, but to not at least entertain the idea these sets may stay at TRU was just stubborn and shortsighted. They still may vanish, but a betting man shouldn't bet that way in my opinion!
