  1. So a Guy won the Lego Star Wars 10198 from me Dec 3 about 10 at night, he paid I told him I will mail the box in the morning fedex, and will send you tracking later that day, which I did I told him the fedex slip says 5 business days, as I live in Baltimore and him in Portland Oregon, I told him to track fedex to see when you will get it.So he paid Dec 3, I mailed it Dec 4th, 5 business days would be Dec 11, but Fedex Delivered it Dec 12th. So He gives me a Neutral, but the worst part he gave me a one star for Item as described, comunication and shipping time. And underneath the Neutral he wrote slow processed, don't recommend. What a idiot, so instead of having all 5's His feedback took my seller dash score to a 4.6 for item as described, 4.1 communication, and a 4 for shipping. so being upset as I always mail the next or same day, never had a problem, except for the idiots who don't pay. So I called E-bay up and gave them the whole story last night, I was talking to a ebay rep who was talking from the Phillipines, she agreed that I got screwed, so she removed the neutral, and today my seller Dashboard went back up high like it was. So if you think you are getting screwed on feedback call ebay up. ED

  2. Rebuking part of the Yes, it is doable. Just need to make the opening of the mine larger for the train. I'll be doing the same with 9V as that is much easier than Power Functions, Here is a link to one example and I attached pics from the oerson's flicker page. '' target='_blank'>> I'll also find the other link with more details.

  3. Over the last two days, the boy and I have built GS Eradicator Mech, Eris Eagle Interceptor, Epic Dragon Battle, and Gandalf Arrives. Next up is Silver Mine Shootout, Lion Chi Temple, Fire Truck, and Dragon Mountain. My son is like Rod Carew - when it comes to themes, he sprays to all fields...

  4. Starting a thread for tomorrow. Post out the deals you find at your Lego store - guessing there will be some new stuff discounted maybe in the stores? Winter sets? I plan to go tomorrow, but am guessing you Euros and east coasters will have the first info.

  9. I thought that was a perfectly reasonable offer. You don't come across Mc Coupons very often, so you were basically trading a cheap plastic toy for an affordable night of fine dining with your loved one.

  10. Then I'll do it. Unions suck. I'd rather pay double than work with Union thugs and thieves.

  11. Yesterday, I went to the Lego store to fill up my holiday PAB box. Here is what I got: 9 brown minifigure chairs 6 tan 4X6 plates 103 gray levers 58 black 1X2 handle 6 windsheilds 193 orange 1X1 studs 4 green 1X4 plates 233 clear 1X1 studs 87 trans-red cones 76 trans-orange 1x1 with slant 160 trans-red 1X1 plates 92 trans-red tiles 147 trans-yellow 1X1 plates 96 white 1X2 grills 114 trans-red jewels A grand total of about 1384 pieces. Give or take 10 pieces. I cannot believe that I was able to count that many small pieces.

  12. Built the new Cinderella's Romantic Castle last night. Took a couple of hours w/ some distractions from my own little princess. A little on the small side, but it's got some nice playability for the little one, w/ several rooms, a secret key behind a bookcase, a dog house, some treasure and other little accessories. The figures aren't as bad in person as I thought they'd be. Next up, Dolphin Cruiser.

  15. Keep in mind that if the buyer gives you negative feedback despite your best efforts to resolve the problem (refund after return, refund w/o return, whatever), and eBay refuses to remove that feedback, you can leave a reply to that neg - something like "Tried to resolve problem by giving refund without requiring return", for future buyers that bother to look at your feedback. Small consolation, which is better than none. As has been mentioned in other threads, make sure you make your return policy very clear in your listings (and know that 'no returns' is not something eBay will actually let you enforce), and as has been mentioned in this one, make sure your policy is something you want to do long-term. Last point - negative feedback currently only counts against your score for 12 months - take the long-term view on this, too.

  16. Toys R Us hands down for me... I did manage to get some deals during all the other sales at Amazon and Target mostly, but Toys R Us was a the clear winner for me in the long-term investment and flippable for the holiday season category. I'd hate to know how much I saved/spent on top of the crazy prices, BOGO 50% off at MSRP or lower, usage of Wendy's coupons for gift cards, 15% & 20% off coupons, 10% off Saturdays, double-points Wednesdays, price matches, Wish List gift cards, and the big 10% back towards a $100 gift card deal.

  17. It was a none stop Atlantis, Toy Story and Sponge Bob builds for the past week. Kids had dreams about them afterwards. Plus inventorying them photographing and updating bricklink wanted list . I've scored a bucket full of them about 30 for a $100 on craiglist, couldn't pass it up and now I am going insane. So today will be a bricklinked green grocer day and maybe a little bit of Designer Han lowloader. I have to finish all the PFs on it.

  18. I have just a couple things to emphasize in this discussion: 1) Don't run your business or set your policies on a transaction by transaction basis, or on emotion. Look at the situation and decide what is going to be the best solution for your business to a given problem long term, not at how you can come off unharmed in every single individual transaction - that's never going to happen, but you can remain successful and profitable by taking the long view and looking at the big picture instead of getting all ramped up over every real or imagined virtual shoplifter you suspect or dumbazz you are forced to cope with. 2) KNOW your eBay rules and follow them. I re-read large sections of the eBay selling pages regularly because they do sneak in stealth changes, there are things that I forget or didn't apply to me at the time so they didn't register, etc. What you WANT to do and what eBay will ALLOW you to do are often very different things. You can make a few mistakes as a seller and a few more as a buyer, but too much lawlessness whether you intend it or not is going to make eBay smack you, and that's not beneficial to your bottom line if you want to remain there as a buyer or seller.
