  5. That's awesome. I'll take 5 from your for $30 including shipping if you don't mind. Easy flip in Canada for $50 a piece.

  6. Nothing is out of the realm of possibility! It was possibly poor wording on my part, but not everyone has the skills to put this kind of engineering effort to make this work. Just planning to make a big build is one thing, but a functional car with just legos is a whole different animal.

  7. I think uruk-hai Army will be a 60$set.... Helm's Deep + uruk-hai army MISB together = 250-300$ MAX!

  8. Parents fighting over Turtle Lairs? Kids crying? Chima sets wiped out? I think your part of the world your strategy should be the Costanza school of investing.

  9. That just reminds me of Razar from Chima minus the looting.

  11. The TMNT toys are moving. Makes me kind of scratching my head why kids don't want TMNT Lego. At 50 for the most pricey set, Lego basically wave the white flag on this one.

  13. In my neck of the woods, TMNT and Chima goes like hot cakes. I was at the lego store and saw someone pay $149 + 12% sales tax on Chi Temple. I wanted to whisper to her that I'm unloading it for $120 cash. Problem was, I was sold out. The Turtle Lair are all but wiped out of the TRU shelves. I saw two sets of parents at Toys R Us in Richmond B.C. digging all over for the last Lair and nearly flipped, not only themselves but the shelves. There were at least 5 kids crying and asking where it was. I told him I have it for $45, cash, in my trunk, they came to me and took 3 sets off me. I usually drive around with 3-5 sets of different lego, usually Chimas or Turtles, and some city sets. I just roam around TRU looking at what people are buying. My world is a lot different than a lot of what's going on in the US. I laugh to the bank when Chimas are unloaded at fire sale. As long as people in the US don't want this stuff, I'll be happy to take every piece of it at a discount.

  14. Yes, the large sets like Helm's Deep just barely fit on those HDX shelves. Some may think it's too tight, but they fit and it keeps from wasting space.

  15. I won't be crying, because I'll have made a lot of money with the lot of money I made on the ones I sold already. And I won't have taken the risk of shelling out money to get the heading done. I just think the grading is for a very narrow market and by doing so you're ruling out most buyers. If you want to hold onto this for years than maybe it will be worth it, but with people who have the system for selling quantity it makes sense to get most of these sold before a new version comes out. I don't think the tan pants will increase in value much until the next one retires.

  16. Most of the sets are mentioned above already. Mini-modular if you can still find in the wild Any SW sets with Darth Maul's head on the box except for the small X-wing with the fat man, the Falcon, and Skiff seem to be sticking around longer.

  18. Personally, I think you're way off on this. But, if you're so sure of it, why are you wasting time flipping this set for $15 a pop? Sell off the other minifigures and the rest of the set, then send in your Hulks to get graded. You'd make more doing this once than flipping 10 sets.

  19. Are you kidding me? You can't even flip one Chi Temple? Hand it over to me at 79.99 like Cyber monday, I'll show you how it's done. I'm out of inventory now. Yes, Amazon.COM. You saw the 48.99 deal eh? I had it shipped to the PO Box at the border. Picked it up and drove right back and I was ready to rock. I saw the Chi Temple dropped to 74.99 and I was pissed because I bought 10 at 79.99.......oh well. I work in an office of over 1200 employees. I just post up ads in each corner of the building and in the cafeteria.

  20. Those prices have gone up a lot. Over the summer, I think it was about $150 for the two boat masts and like $30 for the antenna. It is ridiculous.

  21. 10 hobbit town guard polys to one guy on amazon. He paid 144.60 after shipping. I get to keep $118 after I pay for priority mail. Only paid like $4 each after the 25 off 100 promo. Edit: wrong thread.

  22. While I agree there's no guarantee, how is this speculation? http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/04/01/did-lego-really-cave-to-muslim-demands-amid-anti-islamic-toy-controversy-the-company-responds/ Here's an excerpt from the article (italics by me):

  23. I price matched at one of the Salt Lake area Targets yesterday. $10.99 and 5% off with my Redcard! It was OOS on the Kmarts website but in-store pickup showed the Kmart 40 miles away as having them so customer service overrode the price! Thank the gods I ended up going into the city with my cousin because she needed to buy an 11" Battle Shell Ninja Turtle (a good investment for the next week BTW, they've been going for 2x+ retail!) The only store in our town is Walmart, and they stopped carrying 76003 in October!

  24. price matched two at TRU tonight. Manager who did the override said she was the former manager of the closed kmart in town, kinda ironic.
