  2. Just checked the retiring soon tag on LEGO Shop at Home and there is some items I hadn't seen before. I know you can't bank on the RS tag, but thought I'd share. Sorry if I missed this elsewhere. http://shop.lego.com/en-US/catalog/productListing.jsp?_requestid=9754559 Lone Ranger line Echo Base Palpatine Arrest Some Hobbit

  3. Probably will just go straight to retired, like Helms Deep. I really think the retiring soon thing is more marketing than anything.

  4. I am giving it time. Just checking how the set is doing week by week. I think it will be a while until we see spectacular gains on this set.

  5. I really wish the Vampyre Castle was on this list.

  6. 9396 Technic Helicopter is intriguing and pretty sure most people suspected the Lone Ranger would have a shorter run due to the lack of film success.

  7. Exactly! What with all the clearance sales year round, 40% is a conservative estimate Seriously though (not that that isn`t...), they look pretty good overall! That Helicopter is flat out impressive.

  8. So take 40% off the Canadian prices and you have USA MSRP lol! Kidding, but sometimes it feels that way up in the great white north

  9. I am plenty comfortable with my man hood, and have no problems buying these sets in public and in large quantities. there is no shame in my game!

  18. Yes alot of the sets used to be glued, but thousands of people were buying the sets, replacing with Mega Bloks, and other stuff, and then just Hot Glue the Flaps back and return the set. After a trillion complaints they replaced with the taps.

  19. The 2014 Batman sets all look simply amazing. It will do well EOL but that is a LOOOONG way away. Right now I just want to pick up all the new Batman sets and build them.

  22. 6873 is listed as retiring soon on LEGO Shop at Home. I considered picking up 100 from walmart.com for $23.97 each or something like that a few days ago. Next I knew they were back to $30. May have to be content with the 30 I currently have on hand that I got a few weeks ago for $24 from walmart.com. Have about 20 in FBA right now too on which I backed my sell price on now that it's officially retiring soon.

  23. Also, I was wondering why you chose these 2 particular sets to compare?

  24. 6873x3 Doc ock's Ambush at lego store. $16.50 850487x2 Halloween accessory set $8.50 I wonder if his might be the last we see of 6873. Isn't there a new Doc Ock set coming out soon? With Power Man coming out in a set next year, you need this set to complete the duo (not sure if anybody is old enough to remember power/man iron fist but I do...). Also saw some wolverines for $22 but had to prioritize 6873.

  25. I find this comment to be sanctimonious to "tell" someone to make their own decision. The market is a voting machine and the forum is a microcosm of the market. It is more resourceful to mention what you think of the set than telling somebody else you are better. You might learn something and come up witb some new ideas in the process. People can come on here and BS but that's up for your own interpretation.

  27. It's one thing to have an opinion. It's another to be arguably the most annoying person on the site right now.

  28. I have no idea why people would think you dislike the B-Wing "...probably because they made the wrong purchase and are holding the bag now." -1

  30. I'm a little puzzle why people think purple pants or brown pants will depreciate the value of the first Lego hulk. First edition is always worth more, he can wear pink pants or an onesy for all I care.

  31. If you are interested in the set then you should keep it to build or hold as it was a gift and not a means to trade to make more profit. (:

  32. I think that so many of these sets were opened to part out the minifigures (particularly the Hulk) that this could well be very scarce in mint and sealed condition later down the road. At least that is what I tell myself when I want to open mine to get at the Hulk. It is really really hard not to open it. "Hulk Smash"
