  2. DoNotInsert is right Sad, you're not factoring in the size of their corporation and the clear lack of communication and consistency down the chain. Some stores were honoring the 15% while others weren't. Some stores had a 2 41999 limit, while mine had a 1 41999 limit. Some here have been banned for going over limits, others haven't gone over limits but still been banned. Some receive a ban email, other don't receive any communication or explanation. Some can't log in to their accounts after being banned, but some still can. Some get their points taken away, others don't. It doesn't sound like they have a functioning system in place at any level or in any department. The only consistency I see is poor logic going hand in hand with those who take joy in the pain of others

  4. Because you are so above them? We don't know resellers that don't get banned because the majority of collectors aren't on this site. Most people said they didn't break TLG's purchasing limits. So in general, your comment about dishonesty is completely incorrect. Also your comment about "least clever". Until someone purchases an order history, you have literally zero way to know this. One of the members said he hadn't bought anything but some Bwings on May 4th. I am not banned by the way - definitely able to order and it doesn't get canceled.

  5. sadowsk1 are you just trolling or are you going to start quoting from a certain book soon?

  6. I think more people have to look at the exclusive angle as more of the trigger for the ban than the actual amounts. The worst combo is mass buying of exclusives. LEGO has illustrated to me a very strong desire to be in control of their exclusive sets. I don't hear of any resellers getting banned for hoarding and flipping CITY sets.

  7. From what you said in the other thread about buying 10,000 GBPs of LEGO sets in one month from S@H, I'm sure God already knows.

  10. Personally I bought a WV Marketplace on the 22nd with my VIP points left over from the October buying spree (jumped the gun) then bought a 2nd one with 3x VIP points on the 23rd to get the 2nd collector set for my personal collection. TLG, if you're watching, yes I plan to sell the 2nd WV Marketplace, hopefully for a 10-15% profit, by flipping it before it is officially released on Dec. 1st. If that behavior is ban-worthy, well fooey on you. On another note, I'm in the market for a WV Post Office to complete my WV collection now. Since I can't get one from TLG I will of course be trying to find one from one of you fine individuals on this site. God bless resellers, every one!

  11. We don't really have any evidence that collectors *haven't* been banned, right? Our data are pretty skewed since this is an investing website...and since I doubt TLG publishes the banned list, we don't really have any reason to believe that "pure" collectors haven't been banned up to this point. Our "data" are anecdotes, complaints, and questions in a forum discussion on an investing website. So I wouldn't be so quick to assume that TLG hasn't banned a poor collector somewhere. Collateral damage, as they say. As a small-timer who's mainly investing to subsidize his impoverishing collector habits (and make sure not to be the dumb guy who paid 50% over retail, or at least make an educated decision as to when it's worth paying 50% or more over retail!), I find this all terribly fascinating. Also, seriously folks - #firstworldproblems

  12. I'm just ticked off that all the banned people are getting their orders before mine even gets out of Customer Service. How can I get banned so that I, too, can get speedy shipping?!

  13. Plenty of good parts to repeat. Megatron: Prime! Optimus Prime: One shall stand, one shall fall. Megatron: Why throw away your life so recklessly? Optimus Prime: That's a question you should ask yourself, Megatron. Megatron: NO! I'll crush you with my bare hands! Megatron: This was almost too easy, Starscream! Starscream: Much easier, almighty Megatron, than attacking the real threat; the Autobots' moonbase! Megatron: You're an idiot, Starscream. Starscream: Who disrupts my coronation? Galvatron: 'Coronation', Starscream? This is bad comedy. Starscream: Megatron? Is that you? Galvatron: Here's a hint! *BOOM!* Galvatron: Will anyone else attempt to fill his shoes? Hot Rod: They've got more Sharkticons then we have Photon Charges. Kup: Then let's hold a demolition derby!

  14. Just wait. All the FREAKS of EBAY come out and buy at Christmastime. Then they will leave you neutral/negative feedback because they are usually ignorant or illiterate. Just wait until 2 days before Christmas when someone orders something and then blames you for it not getting to them in time. Don't get me wrong, I love Christmas. It just brings out the, lets say, not so savvy consumer.

  15. Hmm, I kind of like it. I might try that. I am busy - but its my own fault. I don't know if anyone on here noticed (said no one ever) that I am a serious workaholic. I thought for a long time it was a disease, so I stopped... and it almost killed me. I find purpose from accomplishing something constantly. So the amount of stuff I do is pretty stupid. The amount I don't sleep is pretty stupid as well. Plus I tend to do everything pretty good, nothing great. But one thing just can't hold my attention fully (well except maybe beautiful women ) I'm like a little kid with ADD walking around and... OH! A QUARTER!

  16. You can't require people to have a certain number of feedback to purchase from you, it's completely against eBays rules and if you refuse to complete a transaction with them you can be reported as a non performing seller. The closest you can get to this is to block buyers with -2 as their feedback rating, which doesn't happen anymore since buyers can't be left negs. Don't worry about your listing being fancy, concentrate on clarity, simple wording, and brevity. A bunch of HTML in the descriptions can make mobile shopping harder on buyers, and that's one of the fastest growth areas on eBay right now. If your selling velocity is making you rush and not do things the way you want to, slow down. Raise your prices to slow sales a bit while still maintaining the cash flow. Too fast growth can hurt a business that's not ready for it, on or off eBay.

  17. I like descriptions that say "Minifigure will be shipped in padded envelope." That should eliminate any confusion about no box and then eBay would more than likely remove any future "no box" comments. Disclaimer, I'm not an experience seller, but I have been buying on eBay for over 10 years and have bought quite a bit. Please take this feedback with a grain of salt. I think your descriptions of the auctions is poor. Your store features are highlighted more than the description of the item which is a big negative to reading the entire listing. Your terms and conditions are formatted poorly (too big, too colorful, too much space) and on your listing with short descriptions, they take up too much space. My eyes are drawn to the stretched image of the millenium falcon inside that bright red background. Personally, I think you should refund the money and make the buyer pay for return shipping as per your shipping conditions. That won't make them happy one bit. Then you should reformat your listings to make sure the first thing people read is the description <sort of, nothing wrong with having your store name at the top, but my goodness, take out that red background with blue font over it, my poor eyes >

  19. Update time (AKA The gubberment is run more efficiently than TLC): To recap, I ordered five sets in individual transactions yesterday (all within the limit guidelines) and they deleted my entire purchase history, my address to get magazines, and de-activated my VIP card. I was able to redeem my points last night at the local store. I haven't received any notice of being banned and I can still log in to my account. I just can't seem to update my address or re-link my VIP card to my account. Today, I received two emails with tracking numbers telling me two of the sets I ordered have shipped! However, when I go in to my account, my entire order history (along with these orders) shows nothing. Here is the awesome part...I then noticed I had VIP points equalling the total of all five of the sets I tried to order yesterday (including the orders they never processed). I tried to make a purchase, but it didn

  20. If you really want to have fun with your kid watching movies, this would be my plan for the night: 7pm: Harry Potter (Any) 9pm: Fight Club 11pm: The Exorcist 1:00am: Any of the SAW movies, just so he can at least go to sleep with his head clear.

  22. I'm mainly a collector/hoarder. I hate selling, but do so in order to accumulate/collect/hoard more. Every cent I've made selling lego has gone right back into buying more to hoard. Kind of sad, but I love growing my collection.

  23. For me it was reseller, reseller, reseller, reseller, then I put one together and now I have all the winter sets and monster fighter sets ready to go to put together so now I am a collector, I guess? (Ugh) They converted me. bastards. I already have enough vices.

  25. You are doing most things right with the title, photo, and listing, but I would change the opening line of your actual description, which now reads: This listing is for a BRAND NEW Lego Ninjago Golden Dragon 70503 set. You then go on to say it has no minifigures, etc., but eBay people don't read, and you don't want to lead with a confusing sentence. Beyond that, I don't see anything wrong with your listings. eBay would only rule in the buyer's favor if you refused to accept a return - provided your response is always "return for refund", you shouldn't have any trouble (other than having too many of these and having eBay limit your account). Keep the descriptions super short and simple. Most of the boilerplate (you strive for 100% satisfaction, etc.) should be removed - it won't prevent bad buyers, it won't entice good ones. The shorter the description, the better chance you have they'll read it.

  26. The Vampire Castle was not bought back from the Dead, its just like the Helm's Deep both are still available on line and at Toys R US. Both will be gone soon. Even though the 2013 Wholesale Form said Spring only on the Monster Fighters and Helm's Deep like I said before Lego made sure they had plenty for the Holidays.

  27. No different from any other form of online gambling but the guise as a currency makes it legal to gamble on everywhere. Personally I prefer to sit down in a nice casino and get free drinks when I gamble. When it comes to business and making money I only bet on sure things - I don't work for free.

  28. I think if you have read in past threads about Brick Classifieds, Ed and Jeff have mentioned that everyone on this site is NOT all about reselling. They have stated that there are quite a few people that come here looking for deals. They have over 20,000 members, I am sure all of them are not resellers.

  29. Haha. I love people like you that think they are smarter than the system. Ed's post is correct. I am sure there is a nice big target on your name already, Mr 10Gs a month.

  30. Exactly - and this is the dumbest one too. Why in the hell, if you liked the game, would you ever just want one of these. THE GAME IS ABOUT ENDLESS BUILDING WITH NO POINT. I mean, you would expect people to buy 20 of these and make a giant set of stuff. WAY more than building armies of clones or something like that.
