For some reason, almost every time they put out new sets before the street date they sell them for actual retail price. Once the release date arrives they bump the price. It seems backwards to me as people are more likely to pay a premium when they can only get them at one place, but what do I know.

I built 7778 Midi-scale Falcon. I liked it. It makes effecient work of its pieces, and forms a substantial and solid model. The shape is just right, too. My only real gripe is the stickered canopy. I got lucky, bought a used one, and the sticker was straight. But it's still just a large cone with black stickers... Either way I know midi-scale gets a bad rap, but the Falcon is a decent set, and the perfect size for a compromise in display space. Fun build, too. I think I might open my midi Star Destroyer and build it now.

Just built my VW T1 Van with my girlfriend. Awesome build and cool experience :)

I built R2-D2 set 10225 last week (my most recent). It took me about 6 hours over two nights in front of the TV. The detail of this set is great and for a set I consider more of a model than a toy it has enough moveable parts and a sturdy enough construction to be played with (carefully) by anyone over 13. It is - in my opinion - as iconic a set as R2-D2 himself.
