  1. Very interesting article.... Enjoy. http://online.wsj.com/news/articles/SB10001424052702303460004579193901642418812
  2. 20k calls for an emoticon party!
  3. Today we have a very special item for sale. Exciter1 happens to be one of the most valuable members of the entire community and is, along other secondary players, the major ruler of the Daily Deals Thread. Even though he seems to be a little bit angry most of the time, we can guarantee that he's a very friendly human being, and will gladly perform ANY service you want from him with a smile on his face (yes, he does smile sometimes). Auction starts for $7.99, please click this link to join the bidding. Good luck! exciter1 Auction Note: All proceeds will be donated to the "Save a kid's life foundation" whose mission is to capture prominent resellers, sell them in the open market and make sure that they are not in the stores ruining the lives of our children.
  4. Consider this a gift. A second chance for some.
  5. Hey everyone, follow this link to received 5% cash back on all payments made through Paypal until Dec 12th. Seems like an easy way to get an extra 5% back on all Cyber Monday purchases! http://www.redflagdeals.com/deal/other-finance/paypal-sign-up-now-to-earn-5-cash-back-for-four-weeks-ends-december-12/ Enjoy!
  6. Please, my wife has been trying to auction me away for six years. No takers.
  7. $7.99? I wouldn't pay two damn cents...
  8. My left hand is very rare and hard to find.
  9. Lego Tardis would sell like hotcakes! Would look great on display. Thanks for sharing Stomping. look forward to seeing the result.
  10. I posted this on the Daily Deal page but thought i would make a Canadian thread as well: For all you Canadians out there Sears.ca has 9450 EPIC DRAGON BATTLE on for $67.59 (40% off Canadian retail) Free shipping on orders over $99. So with tax, depending on which province you're in, you can get our the door at about $75 each if you buy 2 or more! Best price I've seen in Canada for this set. Sale runs until Nov 24th or while supplies last. here's the link: http://www.sears.ca/...0053108-4653097 I've never ordered from Sears.ca before so I don't know how reliable they are in shipping. You can also select store pickup in your area. Unfortunately I don't see Paypal as a payment option so you can't cash in on Paypal's 5% cash back promo currently running.. That would have been a nice little bonus here. :| (see the beginning of the daily deals thread for link to Paypal's cash back promo)
  11. I wish you wouldn't tease me, Stomping. (And I really, really hope Dr. Who happens with Lego.)
  12. 1 point
My chips are on UCS Slave I. LEGO should just run an IV into my veins and draw blood in small, regular doses...VIP points earned by the pint.
  13. There won't be Grocerisque returns but that is a set the outperforms most. It only needs to go up by 10% p.a. to outperform all Banks, and a lot of stocks. Another set that was around for years and I follow is 10193. This went EOL exactly a year ago and the price immediately rose by 30% and stuck around
  14. Copier! I see how it is... @Justafrog - Wow, cool to read about training dogs, killing dogs, and dogs living a long time. If anything, I thought you'd be a frog trainer, but a dog trainer is good too...
  15. Awesome deal - I will put this on the deals page. Everyone like hansolos post if you are gonna use this deal - deserves the rep points for this
  16. You hate all my listings!! ! Female. You mean Voldemortica.
  17. You were a professional dog trainer? Incredible. Everything about dogs, cats, and some other critters I know is from my own mother. She wasn't a professional like you but she probably could have been. I don't think there is a single animal she had not raised in her own youth. I had a Rottweiler and then Calico cat once somewhat similar to your Terrier. Neither of them listened well or seemed to care of what they did to whom. However the dog ended up dying at an early age due to cancer and the cat from a type of mental illness so I suppose I didn't have a long time dealing with their temperments but I wouldn't wish either case on anyone. And whiners are annoying. Give me the 'dopey dog face on your lap' anyday. Or better yet one of these. I love weimaraners. :giveheart:
  18. According to non-sellers who find out I sell on eBay, I'm an idiot not to sell off their extremely valuable Beanie Baby collections for them and take a generous 10% of the profits! I swear those annoying, ugly toys haunt me.
  19. No, three of the four good dogs are Chihuahuas (the other is my daughter's poodle). The Evil One is a Jack Russell Terrier.
  20. No that's not right. I was talking about my name and pobox is right. I really don't know where they get some of the numbers. I guess we make $90 a day :)
  21. Now that this number is public I wanted to take the opportunity to let the whole site know that this whole thing was my idea. Everything started around 2 years ago when I noticed the high prices of UCS sets on ebay. I posted a newspaper ad asking for a programmer and a LEGO analyst that were related and had a pretty long last name as well (but only if you could shorten it and make it more..."commercial" (Mack)". These guys answered and have been working for me ever since You can stop pretending you own the site guys, you knew this time was coming sooner rather than later...
  22. I hate ebay auctions that don't have a BIN option...
  23. Congrats Kingcabootle! And congrats Ed and Jeff on 20,000 members! I can't believe how much this site has grown over the past 2 years, keep up the good work guys!
  24. They did not un-retire this set. The Castle with the glow in the dark stickers was and still is very much retired. Try to find 9468 at LEGO Shop at Home in Australia, New Zealand, Hungary, Poland etc. MF is completely done, except for the Haunted House. Whatever is left in the wild is it. I suggest grabbing what you want before I do lol.
