I bought a 7346 Seaside House at Target. Here's the story... So earlier today, I went on an errand run with my mom, which included a "brief" trip to Target in search of clearanced Halloween candy, and of course, LEGOs. I obviously hit the LEGO aisle first, and didn't see any red clearance tags on the shelf, much to my disappointment. I settled for trying my hand at the Series 11 minifigures, which I was about to find a Ginger Bread Man, and an Elf, my two favorites in the series. After I was told that we would be leaving in 5 minutes, I did another quick scan of the LEGO aisle, and behold!! 30% off LEGO Planet Series 2 and 3 sets! Big whoop. Then I glanced through the LEGO Creator sets, and there it was...a 7346 Seaside House clearanced 30%, in the ugliest box you might ever see. Slightly disappointed, I moved the box aside to reveal another copy of the same set, with some creases and dents, but still a solid 30% off, at about $35. I decided to bring it home, and see what potential it might offer. After checking out, I went over the receipt, and things didn't add up. The total should have been at least $40 because we had bought a few bags of candy. But it was a mere $24.40! The fact is, the set was discounted about 70% off to $14.98! A very pleasant surprise! I probably wouldn't have posted at all about this find if it had not been for that surprise. I didn't go back for the other set, because it was simply attrocious, and I doubted that it had all the bags in it, BUT, I did save quite a buttload!

The Brick Fan just revealed some more minifigures, one of which is the Chewbacca minifigure. We've been waiting for a new Chewy for a while now. What are your thoughts on the new minifigures?

It's Christmas. It's not as though Lego needs to give it's customers incentive to buy when people are going to buy either way.

I finally received my set today. Looking forward to watching the finally again and start putting this together.

Yep----YOYO has tax now as well.......and they say that online tax wouldn't hurt sales. Bull chit! YOYO just lost $200 in sales--Was going to get a helms deep ordered from each of my 2 accounts--but when I saw they extra 6 bucks per---no thanks.

True that, but this item could have been a Christmas gift to an adult or a collector and kids these days are very picky with what they get and how they get them. My main issue was that I, like many good peopl here, work hard to be able to pay for these items and when someone just decide to slap a label hoping that it arrivesafely than that tells a lot about how they value me as a costumer and how the represent their company's image. Shipping issues are bound to happen and I'm cool with that, but the lack of common sense is something that just grinds my gears, a la Peter Griffin

I was not expecting this, but an official image of series 12 was just revealed!! It looks like a very good series, and they are all from The Lego Movie. In my opinion, this is the best series yet, and I will probably be collecting most of it. I don't really like the mermaid. (Left to right, top row.) It took a month last year. Have these for a week already, the store manager likes to stock items before the official release date.

I wonder if it would be packaged in a proper box if you chose "ship to store"? That's what I usually do with my orders with Walmart and generally haven't had the issue that you've described.

I remember that my friend had a Technic set that has some of these motors, and one day on of the motors was smoking. He took it out, and threw it in the garbage. After one second of being in the garbage can, it exploded. Good thing it was not in the Lego set, or else that would have been destroyed.

In storage, I'd take out the batteries, and try to keep the machinery away form all the other regular bricks, in case some worst case scenario happens, but if you are just keeping the set out on display for a while, I don't see any harm in keeping the batteries in. You never know...a neighbor might come over, and ask for a demonstration!

I take them out when I know I won't be doing anything with the part for a while or plan on storing it. Better safe than sorry I always say.

I have had some batteries in the motors, and nothing happened yet. I would take out the batteries when you are not using the motor if possible. If the set is just for display, then you do not need batteries.

Software isn't smart enough to tell the difference between a given name and slang for male genitalia.

Probably my favorite mini build ever. It goes great with its full-size big brother.
