  1. Lego has released pictures and video of the new Modular, set 10243, Parisian Restaurant. I think is is absolutely stunning with tons of intricate work and a great new color. Check out the link to the pics and video. Eurobricks topic http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r_VroKcBFqE

  4. I don't have a strong opinion either way, but I can see where emazers is coming from - the Haunted House is a lot more appealing to a wider range of people than I think the Technic stuff in general and the Crawler in particular may be. Yes, there are more of them, but there may be a correspondingly greater interest in them down the road. We should start betting pools on some of these and then pay each other in Brickpoints in a few years.

  5. Awesome as the Haunted House is, I can't quite see it perform better than the Limited Edition Crawler even in the long run.

  6. The 10179s I've gotten off craigslist have always been way under value. Like someone mentioned above, if it's 800 then the guy knows it has value, and thats a bad sign... who wouldnt want to make another 1k. I've gotten two 10179s under initial retail.... thats always safer (they were used). If this guy is close then go check it out in a public place, if he wants any payment online or anything else sounds sketchy just don't waste your time.

  7. I watched the whole movie. It was a good movie, but Ratatouille was better. Also, I like all the detailing that there is on the set.

  9. Anyone know the significance of the restaurant's name, Chez Albert? I like the brick curtains and the bowl pieces used for the lamps. This model is packed with really neat detail. I'm building it on day one.

  10. I found a couple of my cats when they were kittens in front of Walmart. I don't know about any deals inside the store but I certainly did leave there to come home with the best 'deals' of my life. :giveheart:

  11. I always said The Terminator would be cool. And an all silver bad guy chasing him. A Yakuza would be bad butt. A Street Fighter Minifig line would be sooooo awesome. Imagine a Blanka the size of the Hulk and you can fold him into a ball and roll him. WOW!!!

  12. Lord I know about funds being tied up. It was the newer one. Have no idea what that guy was smoking posting it for so low. That makes 4 times this week I have refreshed my mass Lego search (with like 30K items) and bought the one on top. I think that guy was probably surprised. He pressed list and sold.

  16. Trying to decipher LEGO's terms like "Retiring Soon" and "Out of Stock" is like deciphering ancient Egyptian heiroglyphics.

  19. Im doing it for fun anyway. I am not worried about getting rich. I just want to have fun, help pay for my habits, and honestly just score deals. I wish someone would pay me to deal hunt all day. So fun.

  22. If you invest in polybags at all, I would try to stay clear of polybags that are available nation-wide, and are NOT exclusives. Exclusive ones are usually purchaseable via a minimum purchase price, and almost always have a lower production quantity than non-exclusives. I'd look at monthly LEGO Shop at Home free polybags and the occassional TRU polybag. Just keep your eyes open for them, and try to go to the physical LEGO store fairly often, since they sometimes sell old extra polybags for $5 a piece or so, even if the polybag is worth $25+. Hope this helped!
