  1. UCS ships are meant to be tied to ceiling fans and spin on high until they hit 12 parsecs.

  3. Its pretty easy evidently to become a top seller guys. I normally don't like to brag (which I shouldn't because there are 1000 other members at least on this site better and more knowledgeable that me) but I am too excited right now. Top Seller Status Requirements - 100 transactions in a year - $3K in sales - 98% feedback - .3% low ratings - a bunch of other standards for not getting low ratings. I DID IT IN ONE EVALUATION PERIOD BABY!!! Thats right! I started in late August selling a lot and sept. 20th eval came in today!!! People I would like to thank: 1. Brickpicker 2. lego Minifigures - SOOOO easy to get to 100 transactions 3. The Lego 41999 - selling 2 for $450 each helped get to that 3K mark 4. People who post lots on Craigslist for cheap 5. People who list stuff on Ebay without checking its worth. 6. People who list stuff on Ebay for 99 cent auctions with a crappy listing. 7. The Best Offer Function. 8. TRU for not knowing how to enforce coupon rules on Ebay 9. The Mini VW and Clone trooper. 10. Walmart and Target Clearance. Anyway, just needed to say this. I can't wait for the seller discount. FEEbay becomes ... less-Fee-bay? Yeah, I need a new post end writer.

  5. ...or maybe the bugs in this set are dead already. Look at the second photo...zoom in to upper right on the staircase and left side of photo near the door. Tip to eBay sellers: Remove dead/living bugs from sets before taking photos...and before shipping for that matter.

  6. Can you draw similarities between that and your lego hobby?

  7. Honestly, I would LOVE a Cruiseship theme more than anything. They could try to get a license from Royal Caribbean or even Disney (probably easier) and reproduce the ships!

  8. I love it. I would love to see a whole theme of different ship types. The Titantic would be awesome.

  9. Based on my memory and the sets I had in the 90s, and the sets I've seen and bought recently there is definitely less packaging now in my experience. EG Attack of the Wargs - box is TOTALLY stuffed, no room for movement. VW Camper Van, again - box is totally full up. Back in the 90s the big sets came with a box that had a big flap to lift, with see through plastic to look at the contents and those bags of bricks were floating around inside those huge boxes.

  10. I've had my eyes on that set for a while. I knew Dreamland had about 20 in stock in their web shop. Just last week, I managed to pick one up at 10% off and only two days later, they were all 25% off. I ordered 3 extra and by the end of the day they were sold out. There are some occasional deals, like 20% off at Dreamland on selected Lego sets; or 25% off every second set at Fun. But 25% off everything is just crazy. I just tried to order the Cargo Train 4-in-1 pack but just discovered that I left my wallet (which has my credit and bank cards in them) in my car and my wife is out with her friends. Rats. Hopefully they're not sold out by tomorrow. And hopefully my wife doesn't find out she's got my Visa with her :-)

  11. Can someone move these posts to a different thread? I feel like there's a lot of PayPal/eBay info that would be helpful but it's all hidden in this monstrous 41999 thread.

  12. So pitiful. It's like watching zoo apes try to paint a version of the Mona Lisa. Though that's probably insulting to the efforts of the zoo apes.

  13. Paypal did away with specific "gift" payments. Now they categorize all payments not for goods or services as "personal payments". However it does not matter what they are called the purpose remains the same - not allowing the buyer to file a SNAD case against you through Paypal. Be aware your buyer can still use a credit card thru Paypal to make a personal payment and could still potentially do a chargeback within the next 180 days with their credit card bank stating an unauthorized charge. No written signature means the buyer wins the case 100% of the time. I know my buyers and tell them available funds only. I trust them on this as we have an ongoing relationship and it saves 4% on their end. If you are doing a large transaction from an unknown buyer overseas then doing a wire transfer is the only smart way to do it. You could take a gamble but you may also lose your items and funds. Domestically I will take credit card payments for large transactions as I can either pay my buyer a personal visit or bust them for mail fraud. Both threats keep the scammers inline.

  15. Most toy stores in my country have a 25% off sale this weekend. Thinking I should grab something but not sure what. Any advice? (preferably not: "buy 10 of each". I am thinking more around

  16. Those are very good prices you have there. I would pick up the Haunted House if you can get it for 122

  17. I don't have room in my current home to keep mine up so most mine get built, put back in the box, then put in the back room. But I do keep my modulars up in the living room on the mantel.
