  4. The amount of scam listings on ebay for this set is ridiculous. Going to be alot of unhappy buyers having to contact ebay/paypal for refunds. Of course these buyers are just feeding the scammers....just stupid...almost as stupid as emazer stating in his auction description that he will falsify customs documents for overseas buyers lol.

  5. I see a lot of series 3 still sitting on store shelves, so I guess sales aren't great. Better than no sales at all though. I really want that series 4 Tantive. Do you think TLG will mind if I buy it from a reseller? LMFAO

  6. Ok so once you pull up the set and it gives you the online price click on the set so that it brings you to the page where you can put the item in your cart. At the bottom of this page there will be a button to add the item to your list. Do this with every lego set that you want to keep track of. Once you have created your list it will be saved and will only change if you edit it. Now hit the bottom middle button the flips the page abd brings you to store mode. Your local store should be listed on that pg. click on that store. You are now in "store mode" for your local walmart. Now hit the List button at the bottom of the pg. Your list will now appear with the prices at your local store. Now to compare other stores prices, click on any set and hit the check availability button. That should bring you to a list of nearby stores (if you want to check stores further away from u, enter the town name or zip code in the top box). Click on any store that interests you. This will bring you to the home pg for that store. Click the button that says "enter store mode". Once in store mode, repeat the process by clicking on the list button. Now the sets will show up with the prices from the new store. Hope this helps!

  8. The Brick Fan has reported that the Lego company has announced they will not make an appearance at this year's New York Comic-Con because they already held an event earlier in the year with the humongeous X-wing Starfighter and exclusive "New York, I Love" Yoda minifigures to promote The Yoda Chronicles, and spent quite the budget on that. (Thanks goes to TheBrickBlogger for that last detail about why not.) At least this means Lego could very well keep making an appearance at the two Comic-Con events in the future despite backlash from the last San Diego one.

  9. I'd buy every one of them and provide excellent customer service to the parents who want to buy them from me off eBay this Christmas and next. :-D I'm a Mom. I put in my time hunting down ALL the needed Pokemon figures, etc. I don't blame resellers for doing their thing, and I'm glad eBay and the like exist so when I can't hunt them local, I can still find them.

  11. What's the explanation for the stuff I have up there for more than 15% above my competitors that sells in a day? A couple days? A week? Happens all the time, too. Not everyone is shopping for rock-bottom price. Luck, reputation, listing quality, finding more than one item wanted from the same store, where someone will ship to, shipping options, and more all play a part that can easily make up for far more than 15% price difference. 15 or 18 months isn't the normal selling period for me, either, it was just an example of one of the things that can happen on a marketplace as large and diverse as eBay. "Never going to sell" is a false statement when it applies to a 15% difference. If you really want the last word on that, take it, but I've been selling on eBay for nearly 16 years now and I have the stats and experience to know that I'm absolutely right on that.

  13. Don't forget to take into account the ebay 10% fee on price plus shipping and paypal 4% fee on price and shipping. For the love of god insure that thing, send it with signature confirmation, and wait nervously for your buyer claiming damage and trying to scam a partial refund. Welcome to ebay!

  16. Jeff mentioned this here: http://community.brickpicker.com/topic/5320-enhance-the-brickpicker-database-and-earn-brickpoints/?p=156361 I just did a little research and it seems like they are very similar and that you could get the UPC from the EAN by dropping the country code off the front. More info here: http://www.nationwidebarcode.com/are-upc-a-and-ean-13-the-same/ Maybe check a few EAN numbers that you can find that already have a UPC entered and see if that works.

  23. I made a listing against knockoffs (for different items) a couple year ago. I got a lot of messages from people saying they supported my listing. I was surprised it lasted as along as it did, but it managed to go unflagged for about 6 months.

  24. I have done that before......listing was flagged and removed within 30 minutes.

  25. 4:1 is wrong, eh? Right, there are so many women among firefighters, police, miners, not mentioning medieval army How many female characters are in Star Wars or LOTR? Being a woman, I'm totally happy with the current 4:1 ratio and all those "protests" just annoy me.
