Here ya go. Good to do whenever you hear of a lowly excuse for a human such as this guy... http://pages.ebay.com/services/buyandsell/biddermanagement.html -PB3 points

BrickBabe and I waited outside the Paramus, NJ Lego Store from 8:45 until opening. We were, of course, first, but right around 10:00am others joined us. At opening, they claimed they did not have them in stock yet, but were expecting the delivery shortly. We waited and filled a PAB cup (even though the manager was holding two for us) because we wanted to see how many people/who were trying to pick up a 41999. I wanted to see some of the competition and learn their faces. Anyway, my girlfriend and I got one each and left very, very happy.3 points

With all of the threads for what you bought, built, or sold, I think it might be interesting to hear what some people passed up on while out shopping? Might help get an idea of what one doesn't like. Note: Don't get crazy with this, obviously one could list every set at there local store, but that would defeat the purpose of this. I'm hoping this might help with impulse buying, which I'm sure many of us have done from time to time...1 point

From Eurobricks a new picture of b-pack for Pirates... is this just getting rid of old stuff or new theme? Can someone more knowledgable than me tell if there are some new parts/colorings here? Source: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=861271 point

I'm going to toot my own horn for a minute and show off the Lego table I just built for my girls. Not all the drawers are in, but there is a trough in the front with holes so they can slide all the excess Legos directly into the top drawers. It was a fun build and they like it - plus it's a little more play area than the everyday play table.1 point

I think a mod or admin should start a thread specifically to keep track of problem buyers.1 point

HA! My wife's favorite phrase regarding LEGO: "Do you really want to spend your time selling LEGOs on the Internet?" Those that know, will realize that is not a question. Clearly she is against buying more that one 41999.1 point

i set a trap for an ebay scammer and caught one red handed. so a fellow named REVERSALTRADER bought 5 41999 crawlers off me. as well as many other's from many other people. needless to say a fellow ebay seller contacted me a few days ago with this message: "I also sold a 41999 crawler to reversaltrader. Have they made a claim for a damaged package to you? They state mine arrived damaged and a friend of mine also sold them one and they state the same thing." thankfully he did not claim any items were damaged from me, but i did give this fellow seller some advice: "bottom line is i would not take him seriously until he sends pictures of whatever damage hes talking about, bc he could just be lying to try and get a few bucks back. (have your friend do the same thing and see if he sends a picture of the same box to both of you, then you can just report him to ebay and not have to deal with anything)" this seller followed my advice and compared the picture's he received from reversaltrader with the ones his/her friend received AND THEY WERE PICTURES OF THE SAME BOX!! ?and get this the seller who contacted me has found a third seller who was getting extorted out of 100$ for a supposedly damaged box. so we are having seller #3 ask for pictures of the damage as well, and seeing if he also gets the picture of the same box. it looks like reversaltrader sat on top of his boxes and is trying to get money for it from all his sellers. so if you sold any crawlers to reversaltrader (i know some of you have posted that you did) beware of his damaged box scam, and if he try's it on you, report him.1 point

I display all of my Action Figure collection MIB, but LEGO sets are much more difficult. Each one takes up a lot of viewing space, and overlaying them doesn't result in as appealing of a display.1 point

Passed on a bunch of the Goblin King's Battles at $65 and $69...these will drop in price for sure...same thing with Unexpected Gathering at $49. The Walmart's i went to just had so many of these sitting.1 point

I would suggest giving some more information about yourself, like ebay username, real name, something. I don't think you're going to get a lot of takers with a sort of anonymous message on a message board asking for someone to be your shipping partner. I'm sure there are people that can help you here, but your message is fairly "spam like" and is going to raise red flags. Best of luck as I know other parts of world do not get the prices we get in the States.1 point

No, this is my first pick up of 41999. But the manager did say that it was a limit of 1 per customer. BrickBabe was nice enough to buy the second one for me. My plan is to flip one of them to pay off both sets and also have extra to compensate BB for her time (and because she is just a great girlfriend ). I'm going to hold onto one for a longer duration and that will be ALL profit. Also, the boxes seriously are in the most amazing condition ever. It basically seems like they are right off the factory line. TBH i can't even recall the last time I saw LEGO boxes this mint. Oh, and these boxes are outstanding. I am very impressed with how they look. I never saw them in person until today and it made me almost want to keep one in the box under plexi forever. haha1 point

I think that it was the original way it was supposed to be and then everyone just made it in to a what if?1 point

Yes booklets can be found in lego website and others like Brickset and Peeron. You can also often find booklets for sale on bricklink. some are cheap and others can get pricey. If it's for personal build, it's up to you how important the booklets are. For resale, opinions vary, but I would say in the 5-15% range...depends on how rare. Someone else want to comment on value of booklets for resale?1 point

Pirate - feel free to point this out. As I said, he pointed out that he thought battlepacks would normally be a lot lighter. I said that I used that because not everything can be shipped in a package that is light enough - and I was majorly compensating for weights. No one has pointed out any errors yet. Point them out and i would be happy to admit I made them. I made some in the Delorean article, I admitted it right on the page. I don't get it. "Full of errors" yet no one can point them out at all. It's silly to me.1 point

That is surprising they had 10 on the shelf! Max plan is 5, reorder point 1, reorder qty 2---If I remember what I read on the toy plan for those. Wonder how they ended up with more than 10! I would have bought them all in heartbeat. And hold them all for a year---flip half, then sell the rest a year later for pure profit.1 point

I stopped by one of our regional Wal-Marts today. I knew at one time they had a large stock of Vampyre Castles. When I was there right after the Summer clearance started, they only had two in the Lego section priced at $69. Today I was there and they must have dug the remaining out of the back. They had more than a dozen setup in a Lego Friends display marked with yellow stickers at $69. When I was out driving around, I decided to call the manager and see if he'd deal on them. He said "We mark them at whatever price corporate messages us with." I think this is a load of crap, but I didn't say that and I was very nice. I did mention that every Wal-Mart seems to clearance stuff differently. He said that he could sometimes adjust the price, but i should check back at the beginning of September to see if they are marked down further. He said markdowns are always done at the beginning of the month. Which I also know is a load of BS, considering the Wal-Mart clearance finds that have been reported that last several weeks.1 point

I was thinking that too. If you use wires and other supports why not just build it only a few bricks wide rather than such a large base. When I think back to Lego tower competitions with siblings and friends when I was a kid you had to let go of the tower and let it stand on its own in order for it to count1 point

Orc Forge. Well, I didn't buy it last week, when my Target still had 7 on the shelf. Now they're gone.... I wonder what it means. It's the first time I've ever seen any evidence of other investors in my area. Oh, well, I wasn't too hot for the set anyway. I know, I know, I'm like the only one here who doesn't have at least 76 of them. I just don't see it. It's some orcs and bits of wood with a light...1 point

What Lego set did I not buy today? Umm....everything left in the store. Okay, I saw the same Mines of Moria for the same 15% off deal as last week and still didn't bite.1 point
