I drop ship all the time. Well, what I mean is I give it to the USPS, they drop it many times, then ship it.3 points
-
Just remember...drop shipping is 100% legal and very common. The seller is part of a collection of people who buy at a discount and resell at a slight higher price. This happens all the time and there is NOTHING wrong with it. They usually pay an annual membership to get access to these discounts. Drop shipping that most people refer to here is using a stolen credit card and buying your product from someone and having it shipped directly to you...which is actually not called drop shipping. I do not know what it is called... The fact that this person is telling you that he is a droppshipper tells me he is probably the former and prolly 100% legit... If you like the price then there is nothing wrong with buying from this person. (If they are in fact a proper drop shipper.)3 points

I just want to give members some heads up to what is going on with the Brickpoints system as of today... As you all know there was a major conversion done to the site over to the new IP Forum and Blog system. To enable us to make the site more interactive and state of the art, this had to be done. The old Brickpoints log had to be scrapped. Jeff has yet to create a new one, focusing his energies to other, more important features of the site that needs his attention. Needless to say, the Brickpoints are being tallied as usual, just the Brickpoints given for approved reviews are being tallied separately since approximately June 1, 2013. Some of you have wondered about this and I will tell you to just sit tight and be patient. No one will lose any Brickpoints in the process and Jeff recorded everything when the conversion took place. A new total for Brickpoints will be tallied when the new site features are implemented. Please be patient with this. We are working on some really neat ideas that will include the Brickpoints as a form of site currency that will enable you to do a multitude of activities with them. Until we have more concrete features to show you, I will leave it at that, but I will tell you there are some neat and creative new features in the pipeline that are being worked on as I write this. When we are ready to release the new features, I will post the dozens of ways you can obtain Brickpoints and the really cool ways to use them...or spend them. On a side note, you will notice a small notation showing your Brickpoints under your name and avatar on the foums. This is just a small example of things that are happening behind the scenes...2 points

I got a Mr. Gold about two weeks ago, #3006, at a KMART here in Los Angeles (3rd and Fairfax). I feel incredibly fortunate. My son and I have been collecting them all since series one, so ours will be in good company. That said, I do sincerely hate Lego for creating this stress and frustration for so many loyal customers.2 points

I think that the point with Chima is the target audience loves animals and will love these even more when the series is every week. Adult Fans and older boys love Ninjas more than animals, not true of the four to nine year old kids. The Cub Scouts I lead love Chima just as much as Ninjago and have commented that their sisters love Chima (animals) just as much! Their sisters have watched the three released episodes and play with the Chima Legos. Part of the huge price increase in Ninjagos is because of older kids and adults loving Ninjas, not the younger target audience demand. I expect Chima prices to go up, especially because it seems to appeal to more girls than Ninjago, but, I don't expect them to go up as much as Ninjagos because my guess is that Ninjagos' fan audience, not their target audience, is larger.2 points

Went to Lego store for the new Creator Treehouse, and they were sold out. So I hopped over to TRU and found one there. Roamed the Lego aisle for 30 minutes looking for another set to use the Bogo. $54 for Batman Funhouse?? $34 for Desert Skiff?? $85 for Highway Pickup?? Good God. Paid for my treehouse and got the hell out.2 points

My woman gave me this for my Father's Day: > It's an image I did earlier this year (of the mecha pictured), that I did for a "for fun" propaganda thread on the Mobile Frame Hangar forums, the primary forums for Mobile Frame Zero.2 points

Are you allowed to make small blog entries the size of a forum topic or so, which do not count for the contest but are more about what you are doing with Lego at the time?1 point

I know it's not a licensed LEGO product, so I understand if a lot of folks don't like that.. because I usually shy away from anything not made by lego myself. Custom minifigs online have always bothered me. But I just came across this guy on Etsy who sells pewter minifigs.. and not just the standard but stormtroopers, boba fetts, ninja turtles, and 24 karat gold c-3pos. My eyes are on the standard, here's a pic: They're a little expensive at $60, and he says they shouldn't be really played with a lot because pewter is soft and will wear out, causing the head to get a little loose. Despite all these shortcomings, I'm still really intrigued by the idea of a solid metal minifig and I'm wondering if anyone here has ever dealt with this guy and if anyone can give me an idea of the quality of the product. I don't mind that it isn't made to be played with because I'd be buying it for display, and I just think it's a really cool item1 point

Bought Sopwith Camel for a build. Started it yesterday and loved it. Really an underrated build...1 point

The Architecture set looks even worse now. You might be lucky with it, but with something that large and awesome, why would you want a turd sitting next to it, especially considering how expensive it will be.1 point

Hmm, that's nice. It would look right at home on a Monopoly game board.1 point

I just finished building the new Creator Treehouse, and it was a lot of fun. It's got a winch and bucket, folding ladder, a wagon, a brick built dog, a looking glass, a stone path, and even a little hiding spot for a treasure map. This little set is packed with neat features, and the build wasn't nearly as simple as I thought it might be. And the colors! If you need a break from the black, white, and gray of star wars and lotr, I highly recommend you give this a try. It's easily the best $30 set I've built.1 point

Ok, this is on topic but not, so bear with me. Barnes & Noble are running this promotion online (unsure if it in store or not) for DVDs and BluRays. How does this relate to Lego you may ask? Very simple. The Clark Kent minifig is given away with the Lego Batman Movie - DC Superheroes Unite. Current price is $14.51. 3 sets for $29.02 before freight wherever you are, average of $9.67 The minifig itself is selling on Bricklink for no less than $16. And you get a dvd. Make of it what you will, but I ordered a few!1 point

Like Ed said in his post we will outline all the ways including whatever new ways we are adding As for right now it's forum posting and replies, reviews, write blogs, get likes from your posts, comments We will summarize it soon, but basically everything you do can earn you points. The best way is through quality reviews and articles.1 point

I just merged your topic with one from the past. It will happen, but there are a lot of other things that need to be done before that and the option to hire someone to do what I really want to do with it would cost quite a bit of money, so once I get the Brick Classifieds launched and a few things with the Brickfolio, then I can concentrate on another big project like that.1 point

There is very limited info available so far. I would expect these to show up somewhere else eventually too, but who knows.1 point

Lol, you might be on to something. Some people think we don't impact the market, but then you see these big sets sell out in minutes every time they go on sale.1 point

Yes a lot of you are right after 2-3 years everybody should have plenty of Tower Bridges and SSDS put away, but I am pretty sure there are alot of Lego Investors don't have but 1 or 2 or some don't have any, and with that sale last May the SDDS was $309 and there have been plenty of sales during the year that it was pretty cheap, as for the Tower Bridge there have been some $180-220 sales, when the 10212 Shuttle was $207 looks like hardly anybody loaded up on them, so don't make the mistake on the SSDS and Tower Bridge. They should be around til the end of the year so watch for sales. "If we only knew for sure about the haunted House."1 point

A coliseum playset would be nice, or maybe that maze (can't remember what it's called) that has the minotaur in it. They could do a King Midas set with gold bricks, Perseus versus the Kracken with Pegausus, or Jason's ship with the golden fleece. A ton of possibilities here.1 point

I think Roman/Greek would do AWESOME, with Alexander the Great, Julius Cesar and others it just has tons of potential... Especially non-licensed to build LEGIONS!1 point
