The new forum is LIVE and in what I am calling Beta Mode!! The reason I am calling it beta status is because I know there are still some items that need to be tweaked and figured out yet. Overall, it was a real pain in the butt and hopefully the last time I will ever need to do this. We both truly believe while it was unfortunate to take the forum down for this long, moving forward, the features and ideas we have for this will be worth it. A few things to note (the bad news): All your private messages are not on this forum, you will be starting over from scratch (sorry about that) You will need to add your avatar We are still working out the single sign on code. There may be a chance you will see an error when logging in from the main site and visiting the forum (this is especially true for new members that have never been to the forum yet) Polls are gone I am sure there are things I have not noticed yet in the overall setup of the forum. The features here are 1.2 billion times more robust than the last one I need to tweak the template to work better on mobile devices I will get the latest forum posts on the home page as soon as I can Links to old forum in Google or other search engines will be erratic for a bit until the search engines can reindex the new forum and forget about the old one. Brickpoints Brickpoints are still here, but there will be a little bit of work to transition everything to the new style and a few rules may change. I will be removing the current Brickpoints page and log for bit since it will not be updating like it did before. Ed and I will have an update on Brickpoints once everything is fully clear to us. NOW FOR SOME SUPER GREAT NEWS!!!!! This forum auto saves as you are typing, which is great if there is failure and you lose the page, etc. You will not lose your work Images and video in the posts. You will be able to insert images and youtube videos directly in the posts. This should be a nice feature and hopefully not beaten to death to slow down the pages. Just paste in a Youtube share link and the forum will automatically convert it and add the player Lots of features for finding the latest content since your last visit. I know lots of you will enjoy that so you can see what you missed while you were gone I will post more as the features come to me. There are more things we will be making active once we know the forum is solid. Hopefully everyone like the newer technology and we appreciate the patience while we go through this. Hey guys, Instead of saying those posts (the +1s) I think you can click that new little green upwards arrow on whoever's post you agreed with and it will show you agree!? I think that might eliminated some forum crowdedness (just think its cool to see, not correcting you guys)

All i am saying about buying More haunted Houses is you are right who know's when it will retire, but if you have the money to get a few now and then you should, along with a Tower bridge now and then, The batman Arkham Asylum, and the way people talk on here most people don't have any Death Stars. I think when the Retiring soon goes up on the Death star and haunted House, the prices are going go on fire, massive panic buying will take off. And whoever does not have any or just a few of these are going to miss the boat. Most guys on here missed the Boat on the 10179, but you don't want to screw up not having the Death Star,SSDS,Haunted House, Batman Asylum, Helm's Deep, Vampire Castle, Ninjango 9450, falcon 7965, Vokswagen 10220, I have thousands of dollars invested in these. If you are saving money each month I would buy some of the Lego above. I just can't believe anybody on this site does not think the Haunted House and Batman Ayslum will not be a big big Winner, everybody loves Vampires and Monsters, and just look at the $79.99 TRU & Lego Exclusive older Batman Asylum, $500 and up and the new one is way bigger and better. Along with the other sets, The Ninjango 2507 from last year, check ebay now, the 9450 Epic battle will be big next year. last October,November I was on this site telling everybody to get these sets are you will miss the boat. 2507, Black Pearl, Queens Revenge, Potter Castle, 10217 Alley, And last May 4th the Imperial Shuttle was $207 at Lego, looks like not to many people got them, You can't wait for over to hope prices fall 50% or more. Now if you live pay check to pay check well thats different, but if you can afford to buy something now and then you should do it, And I don't mean spend $500 on $10-$20-$30 sets, the big money to be made is from the sets above, and there are more but you can't buy them all. I got 2 Haunted Houses with the Amazon Visa card for $297.49, and 2 with my son's Amazon card for $308.95 that brings me up to 26 Haunted Houses. You guys waiting for rock bottom prices might miss the boat on this set. Nobody's know's when this set is retiring, but you saw the panic buying on Jabba's palace, well wait til this and the Death Star retiring soon show's up, then we will see real over the top people going crazy panic buying.

I love the changes. This will be much easier to navigate as it is a forum design I'm used to. I love the User Awards, some are definitely more flattering than others.

Sup... I'm one of the younger people on this site (11!) and I have recently entered my "dark age" early and just emerged from it when I decided to walk into a LEGO store for the heck of it. I got a Star Wars Rebel Trooper and Imperial Trooper battle pack. It followed by the purchase of more LEGO sets. And more. I just recently purchase the 10188 Death Star myself after recieving enough birthday money. Now I own a small but still nice collection of LEGOs mostly consisting of Star Wars and some Creator, Technic, and Galaxy Squad sets are intended to join the mix eventually.

No...it's not you. We won't implement any kind of restrictions....yet. LOL. Maybe one particular member might get another special award if they don't figure out the proper way to post a question or filter an answer so not to piss off a site developer who spent 18 straight hours launching a new upgrade to a free site. Thats's all. I mean, I would hate to see this member stop being an active member of the site and reviews contest, but there are certain ways to ask and respond to questions without irking others. Maybe we need an article about forum etiquette.

I am with emazers on this one. This is a fantastic set. In my own personal opinion, there is no way this one will be an under performer in way. Everything about it is just incredible. Good piece count, great design, great minifigs, etc. I wish I had the funds to buy 26 of them

I have activated the Gallery module. What Ed and I would like for this feature is for people to share their set builds, their collection (possibly how they store their collection), any MOCs they are proud to display. What we don't want to see is the entire collection of images from Mocpages or other sites. We hope to keep it more personal and relevant to what we do here. The beauty of this feature is that the images you upload to the gallery will allow you access to those image here in the forum or in the other modules that we open over time and you won't need to keep uploading the images in new posts, etc. Saves time and space. For example, I can share the Album I just created of the Haunted Mansion my wife and I just built in the past week. Cool stufff

I just noticed this polybag (40026) is currently for sale on the toys r us website if anyone is interested. They also have 40025 (NYC Taxi), which I thought was really cool (although I am from NY so Im prob biased!).

I say keep it private. I don't see any advantage to advertising the way a person voted. If a person has an opinion beyond their vote they have the option to add in the thread itself.

People have to give us some time to sort through the new upgrades and convert some of the old features over. Jeff has been busting his ass on this and the UK, Australia, and German data and will bust his ass to get the Brick Classifieds up and running. This forum upgrade is huge for the success of the site and many questions that are asked can be answered by just messing around. The new levels are all custom made for this site and people will obtain the highest levels. There will be many new options for emoticons and other features of the site, like the new "personal blog" system and the like. This is all new to me and Jeff and we are learning as we go. Not sure about your first question, but I can tell you that I have sold a couple of items as open box, and have gotten very close to the same amount of an equal set in a sealed box.

I'm still skeptical of the strength of the Monster Fighter's line investment wise, barring those bloody zombies of course. I've only invested in some Ghost trains and that's only because I nabbed them at $30.00 a box, so it was a safe bet for me. I'd be very surprised if I can't find a VC or two for half off before it's all said and done in my area.

For those that have done this before, what is the process? I remember people grabbing Chase Mcain (spelling?) figs with the pre-order and then not (obviously) getting all the games they ordered. I would very much like to do this, as this little guy smells like profit to me. Also, was this pre-order available in Canada last time? If not, I'd gladly head to a few Wally's across the border if I could grab some of these.
