This is from Star Blazers, a cartoon from back in the 80s that I remember.  It was Ed's favorite show and honestly, it still blows any cartoon out of the water that is done today.

I still love this MOC and the anime it is based on. Man, I wish I had even a tenth of that kind of brickivity! Ed and Jeff, if you enjoyed Star Blazers, you ought to check out Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem. It was drawn by the same studio or at least in the same style. It's an awesome music movie and I have the whole thing posted here.

Awesome. I have keen eye for detail of this subject as I built a 1/200 Nichimo scale model of the real Yamato from 1944 years ago. 5 feet long, super detailed and remote control... yes it floats!

Awesome build man, great detail. Maybe Lego should consider an Anime set...
