Legodog
What would the point be? No one is forced to buy it at over MSRP. Seems like he is just trying to turn a profit...which is the whole point of this site. Maybe it is even a member of this site that is selling it Anyone? I guess the point would be there is a difference between a premium for getting the set a week ahead of its release, and insanity. I think $200 or even $250 is reasonable and someone could pay it without deserving criticism but $500 in nutso.

If you don't like it, don't buy it. If someone is willing to pay $500 for it, they will.

justgod
Wild idea: Maybe he/she doesn't really want to sell it. Maybe they are just bragging that they have it. I wouldn't put it past some people.
Snowcrash
If you've got it in hand, why not throw it out there? Worst case you're out a few dollars for the listing fee. You never know with something like like this, you may find some crazy fan with more money than sense who has to have their hands on something a few weeks earlier than the general release. Ed Mack
I say go for it. If you can sell it to some buyer who must have one early...do it. You can buy three with the profits and resell again.
Anakinisvader
it will be available on February 14 for VIP, one more week Maybe they are VVIP's.

I wouldn't put it past some people. Maybe you put it with a high price BIN but allow offers. That way you don't leave money on the table for the crazy person who wants it at any cost, but you still have flexibility to sell it for something less if that's what someone offers. Sauromosis
If will be discounted at some point, just like all of the other modulars. There will be two ways to make money on this set either A) get your hands on if before it is available or hold on to it and wait for it to EOL. In between these two, there is very little investment potential just building fun!! Discounted where? I haven't seen any modulars discounted. stephen_rockefeller
The FB is discounted on amazon as we speak......town hall, pet shop have been discounted in the past. The grand emporium has been discounted the least I think.
cobi
I will be at the LEGO store when this one comes out, to get my own to build, and then buy later for my investing. I keep waiting for the Grand Emporium to discount but have not seen anywhere yet. Let me know if any of you see discounted please!!
stephen_rockefeller
I have wondered why the GE has not seen the discounts like the FB....seems weird to me.
TheOrcKing
I have wondered why the GE has not seen the discounts like the FB....seems weird to me. I think people like me prefer the "Grand Emporium" over the "Fire Brigade". Both are well designed, but what's a fire station compared to a shopping center? Legodog
It's back. It must not have sold the first time around. Bidding starts at $0.99. http://www.ebay.com/itm/LEGO-Palace-Cinema-10232-Modular-Building-Series-Creator-Expert-Set-/121063592837?pt=Building_Toys_US&hash=item1c2ff3d385
stephen_rockefeller
With a reserve..........super lame!!!!
Legodog
I agree. I will ask him what the reserve is. My guess is it is $300-400.
stephen_rockefeller
I'm thinking this guy got it a lil too late to make any real money on this. A few months ago this would have fetched a pretty penny......now I can just wait a week and get it for msrp. Cheers go him for trying though I guess. cobi
Oh good idea. I am a VIP and I have bucks on my card. Do you know if I can use them?
gte206w
Or if you are extra patient, you can wait for the double points at the end of March
