areyounormal Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 Sold out on SAH Australia too. Damn, if it's going EOL, I should have bought more... if there is ever such thing lolit looks like the Australia site is showing the same sets Sold Out as the UK site was showing earlier today: Pet Shop, PC, Kwik-E-Mart, etc. Some folks reported it was a glitch but odd that it hasn't been fixed yet. ED-209 Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 Right now I can see it as 'available' on US LEGO Shop at HomeStill 'Sold Out' in AU Quote
labfreak7 Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 Target Walmart and SAH had a massive restock yesterday of the modulars . Quote
10230 Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 I wonder what the two pieces are that are now missing, and if they changed more than that. The old version had 2196 pieces - the new box and the current Lego website mentions only 2194 pieces. Has anybody more info on that? Quote
labfreak7 Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 Has this ever happened before- same item, different box art? Seems strange. Also seems like this set came back full force. Quote

labfreak7 Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 That sounds like they are not going anywhere anytime soon 1 Quote

ED-209 Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 Maybe the two pieces just did not fit in the new smaller box? lol I'd say they decided on different and fewer extra parts. 1 Quote
Ciglione Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 lol I'd say they decided on different and fewer extra parts.Or maybe the brick separator is retired? 3 Quote
10230 Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 I'd say they decided on different and fewer extra parts.I don't think the extra parts are part of the piece count. Quote
rcdb1984 Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 buy a small set with extra pieces and count. Quote
bluebeatz Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 Maybe they counted the building instruction as parts of the set (I'm mit sure how many are inside). Quote
labfreak7 Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 Returned the less than perfect pc's that I got from Walmart. Seal codes were 23r5. Kept the nice ones for the long haul. Quote

At some point, box condition won't matter much. Just ask the 10221, 10224 and 10228 folks :( Hope you don't end up regret returning the imperfect boxes. 1 Quote

theegypt Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 What do you mean? (New to collecting modulars)he means if you are reselling these down the road that the condition of the box will not drastically effect the value of the set. 2 Quote
dcdfan Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 What do you mean? (New to collecting modulars)It's generally a good idea to order & receive what would be your replacements when returning damaged boxes as they sometimes never return to purchase at a later date... 2 Quote
labfreak7 Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 Understood. I had purchased 13 pc's and didn't like the way that 5 looked. Creased/ crushed corners- plus I bought some ds' in the same period. So I cherry picked the ones I wanted to keep and returned the rest. Trying to stay within budget too. I'm sure in 5 years I'll be kicking myself for returning them, but it is not within my budget right now to keep so many. Box condition does not drastically affect prices- but it does a little. 1 Quote
