Looks like we don't have any duplicates yet, but if we do I'll ask those people to pm me the score of the third place game. Also, I do want to mention that I reserve the right to omit people who join the contest with no history here on the forum. DoNotInsertIntoMouth Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 Im gonna make the leap. Lets see how popular this is: 1. Italy (Italy does it again in someone else's home World Cup) 2. Germany 3. 1-0 - Italy likes the defense 4. Brazil over Russia. Russia is one of my favorite dark horses along with Uruguay. Russia has a little better draw, and I think they could knock out whoever came out behind Germany in the first round. My teams I am staying away from: 1. Portugal - injuries 2. France - Injuries 3. England - they never do it. Until I see them play well, not picking them. 4. Argentina - lesser but similar to England reasoning. 5. Spain - I think they are the best team, but its just two hard to go World Cup, Euro, World Cup as champions. Quote

Lol this is why Americans don't understand Soccer. When our teams lose we just blame the refs and then drink ourselves to death. You have to be hardcore to love soccer. Quote

DoNotInsertIntoMouth Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 A lot of love for Argentina. They haven't done much since the 80s though. I gotta wonder if Messi just has something that keeps him from performing on the World Cup stage. its weird, but hes just never looked that great there. Quote
