mcortez Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 So, which of you lives in Sweden and call's his wife "the old bag?" http://www.thelocal.se/20140504/swede-puts-lego-up-for-sale-to-save-marriage Edit: maybe this better falls under, "You might be a LEGO investor if..." thread Quote
game Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 LOL, how in the hell did you even find this? I say Boooooo to this woman.......... I mean "old bag". Quote
mcortez Posted May 17, 2014 Author Posted May 17, 2014 LOL, how in the hell did you even find this? Came through on one of the news RSS feeds (Gizmodo.com) I subscribe to. Quote
Ciglione Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Now this guy is flooding the market and his wife is the fault. Start to sell your lego before it is to late. Quote
game Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Came through on one of the news RSS feeds (Gizmodo.com) I subscribe to. This is great thanks for posting it, I honestly think this guy would be better off cutting ties with this crazy woman ASAP! Just imagine 4-6 years later when we are all making good money off the same exact sets that his wife made him sell at a fraction of the price. We all know he's not going to be able to let that go. mcortez Posted May 17, 2014 Author Posted May 17, 2014 Not quite as bad as the story I heard of a guy that had been mining bitcoin a couple of years ago and had something like 7,500 of them. When his girlfriend complained about the noise from the computer being on all the time, he shut it down and shoved it in his closet. Start of last summer they "cleaned house" and the drive with the coins on it was thrown away. Then he heard about how bitcoin was going for more than $1000 USD each and realized they'd thrown away more than $7,500,000 hard drive... 1 Quote
mcortez Posted May 17, 2014 Author Posted May 17, 2014 Ouch! I hope that is not a true story! http://www.nbcnews.com/news/other/it-worker-throws-out-hard-drive-loses-7-5-million-f2D11669738 Quote
Anakinisvader Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 This is why polygamy should be legal. One wife doesn't like the LEGO collection? She's gone and you still have 4 more. 4 Quote
DoNotInsertIntoMouth Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Hope my wife never asks me to choose between her and my Lego sets. Might be a bad decision. Quote
inversion Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Hope my wife never asks me to choose between her and my Lego sets. Might be a bad decision. My girlfriend got addicted to lego. My fault tho. My problem is that she is always nagging me to open MISB sets Still better than for that Swedish guy. Quote
legone Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 A big asset always come with a high maintenance cost Quote

@rtisan Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 I sincerely hope that she was packing enough, umm, "stuff", to make this trade off worth it Quote
leenoack83 Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 This listing just popped up near me. I wonder if it's the same type of situation..... http://www.kijiji.ca/v-toys-games/trenton-on/massive-lego-collection/593907478 Quote

Guest TabbyBoy Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 I'd just divorce the *****, that's not a marriage worth saving. Gettting another wife is easier than getting a rare EOL set. Quote
Crustybeaver Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 The guy sounds like a wuss, he needed to grow a pair and give her the ultimatum. Quote
Guest TabbyBoy Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 I'd build a coffin out of the bricks and put her remains in it. Quote
dbroncos59 Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 If it were me, she would no longer be able to call herself a wife haha Quote
TheOrcKing Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 I guess she was just tired of his s**t. Honestly, it isn't as though we actually know either side of the story. Quote
Huskers1236 Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 A lot of internet tough guys here. I don't think they understand how expensive divorce is, selling the lego would be much easier because if she divorces you, you're selling it to pay for the lawyer, and he keeps the money, not you. Quote
