ufema Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 I just wrapped up editing this video. I'd love to know what all of you think. 9 Quote
BearCrash Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Very nice. How long does it take to make a video like this? Do you go through the manuals first to plan how to film certain parts of the build or do you just do whatever comes to mind while you're building? Quote
nolanfan34 Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 The stop motion build is amazing. Can't imagine how long it takes to edit. I don't really see a playability review though - the demo is awesome, but was it fun? Did you like it? Would buy again for the price? (Side note - I want this, I love the blue engine!) Quote
marcandre Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Great job on the video. I only build technic but that makes me want to try a train. Quote
Ciglione Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Great! I want one! Lego should hire you to promote the new sets. Quote
Soadfan4ever Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Your video is great! My son and I don't really collect trains but we saw this set at TRU last night and we both love it. This could take me down the very expensive road of being a train collector. Quote
Quacs Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Really well done ufema. Your videos are getting progressively better, and they were excellent to begin with! I really liked the minifigure build showing back then front. Well done. Quote
Stevenplays Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Definitely makes me want this set even more... Not jealous at all... Great video, and really liked how you showed off functions as need be. Quote
ufema Posted May 14, 2014 Author Posted May 14, 2014 Very nice. How long does it take to make a video like this? Do you go through the manuals first to plan how to film certain parts of the build or do you just do whatever comes to mind while you're building? It took three 8 hour days to shoot and edit. For larger sets like this one I go through the instruction book page by page so that viewers and see exactly how it goes together. There are parts of the build where I have to break those rules. An example would be the crane. Quote

It was really fun to build. I was thinking that playability could mean how much fun it is to play with. I thought that's what I was doing at the end. Is playability the ease of building using your own creativity? Quote
chinothegeeko Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Wow well done. I think I have to avoid these set videos you do that I normally would not buy. I liked the train to begin with but had no intentions to buy. I think my kids and I would love playing with this one. Need to get one soon. Thanks and keep up the great work! Quote
Huskers1236 Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Very entertaining. Never really watched review videos before, but I loved the stop motion pieces going on with the the little sound effects of the "click". I want a piece by piece of Taj Mahal next. Quote
@rtisan Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Great job! Looks really smooth, and even better than the earlier one you posted. Quote
MartinP Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 This video is by far the best one you have made so far. I really liked the build process of the set and I liked how you showed the train going around on the track a couple times. Keep up the great work. Quote
comicblast Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Wow, it is a very well put together video! I'm especially impressed with your dedication on spending 24 hours on a 4 minute video... I definitely wouldn't have the patience for it myself! I've subscribed myself... Quote
DoNotInsertIntoMouth Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Definitely good. I like the new cargo train. I think it looks nicer than the last one. We will see if that affects the value. Quote
MarleyMoose Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 Saw a $139 red clearance sticker for the 60052 at a WM. Unfortunately all they had was a beat taped up 60051 for retail. Quote
Wildemar Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Cargo Train and High-speed Train have both been dancing between "Sold out", "Out of stock, ship date 13 March" and "Available now" for some hours at LEGO Shop at Home EU. Quote
