Guest brickcrazyhouse
So for investment purposes, Santa's Workshop should be available until next year, correct? I'd like to buy a few but don't want to jump too early on it if I have time to wait. http://community.brickpicker.com/topic/10485-lego-10229-winter-village-cottage/?hl=winter http://community.brickpicker.com/topic/9891-10245-santas-workshop/?hl=winter#entry271018
jaisonline
Unlike the Winter dud last yr, this set will be a home run. Wish it was larger by keeping the $100 price tag (like the prev 2) but it's still a nice $70 set.
Jules_K
Was skeptical on this at first, but seeing these pictures and price point I think it's a winner!

Huskers1236
At almost 900 pieces, $70 is a great price point. I can't believe how the Market is still available, but at the same time I can. I have never seen one of the seasonal sets last past January ish on LEGO Shop at Home. When it first came out I said here I was not happy with all the little builds of the Market as it never feels like you're getting your money's worth and it seems that many here in the States feel the same as it's still around. This one will go quick like the Cottage and those before it. Hopefully only a 2 year seasonal window as well like the trend has been as well. they should have given the fifth reindeer a transparent red stud nose I agree, but fortunately, an easy fix. My only worry is that the eyes of the reindeer are stickers. Those 1x1 bricks had better be printed.
biniou
they should have given the fifth reindeer a transparent red stud nose Well, the Xmas tree has 2 of these, I wouldn't be surprised if there are 3 in the set, as usual.
MartinP
I agree, but fortunately, an easy fix. My only worry is that the eyes of the reindeer are stickers. Those 1x1 bricks had better be printed. I looked at the picture on brickset of the set, and it looks like the reindeer eyes are printed on the bricks. If they were stickers, it would be a pain to put them on the brick. TheOrcKing
My only worry is that the eyes of the reindeer are stickers. Those 1x1 bricks had better be printed. They are printed. Everything else like the "North Pole" post, painting, "Santa's Workshop" sign, billboard and welcome mat is a sticker.
terrymc4677
Hopefully I will still be on Lego's "good" list when this set is released, and be able to purchase many of them. A real winner for sure.

jaisonline
For those wondering why Lego didn't include a certain red-nosed reindeer. Marcos is the designer of the set. Sent from an iPhone using the Brickpicker app

TheOrcKing
In the video, the designer did say including Mrs. Claus with the set was 'controversial' so the Rudolph thing isn't much of a surprise although a little odd.

Guest brickcrazyhouse
I have a question about the santa sleigh in this set. does anyone know how the upside down arch, on the sides, attaches to the rest?
DadsAFOL
It appears the entire sled is built upside down.
Guest brickcrazyhouse
it might be but the floor of the sleigh have the stud facing up. '>
Forge99
Does anyone think this should be set that should be snapped up quickly whilst in stock or with Lego produce plenty on units for this?
biniou
This is a winter set with santa, certainly lego will produce tons of it to sell it before december 25th (obviously who will care about that set on January, investors excepted ?)
