PS Bricks
Hey all I've been selling used Lego Star Wars sets on the German Ebay for a while now and was hoping to increase my (international) sales. After doing a lot of research into international shipping methods and buying the right materials, I can ship most of my sets as priorty mail in a cardboard box worldwide. for just 4 to 8 euros and really believe that I can compete with local sellers when it comes to prices. I know I can offer my items internationally through Ebay.de, but that would place my listing right down at the bottom at other sites and with the German title and desription. Now I was wondering if it would be a good idea to place english listings on another site, just to reach the international market? And if it is, which site would be my best bet? I guess ebay.com would have the largest audience, but I understand that prices in the US are generally lower than in the rest of the world? I'd love to hear what you guys think about this and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Patrick
siulon
I would want to know the same too. Every now and then somebody talks about how they selling their lego internationally at a much higher prices. I know that when you do a search at Ebay, international listings do come up, but can you list in those sites? I just don't understand how this whole things work. Dennan
Selling thru Ebay.com would be best. Uk fees are higher. Also I seem to sell better thru the .com site than the .nl site. 4 to 8 Euro's for shipping is very low, does this include tracking? Bigger sets probably will cost more to ship. justafrog
When you list on eBay and offer international shipping (definitely through the GSP and also if you put in your own international shipping rates last I looked), you will show up in search on the applicable other eBay sites. I.e, if I offer shipping to the UK through GSP, my eBay listings will show up on eBay.co.uk when Brits search for items. Ditto all other countries that I ship to if eBay has a separate site for that country. In addition, I could list my items on eBay.co.uk (or any other eBay site) directly. I never have, so I'm not much use on what the benefits/problems would be. One would be that you'd have to maintain separate inventories or risk duplicate sales of the same item, but maybe there's a search boost on the foreign sites, etc.
PS Bricks
Shipping is 4 euros for up to 500 gr and 8 for up to 1 kg. No tracking, though... But it's possible for an additional 3 euro.
