exciter1 Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 I'm still not sure I like that the original actors have been recast, but I can't help but be excited. Quote
No More Monkeys Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 I'm still not sure I like that the original actors have been recast, but I can't help but be excited. hence, the moniker.. Quote
jaisonline Posted April 29, 2014 Author Posted April 29, 2014 I'm still not sure I like that the original actors have been recast, but I can't help but be excited. yes, we are all excited however, most of us were also excited with the "The Phantom Menace" cast announcement... ha. actually, that cast was pretty darn good aside from 2 characters (prob due to the story / script). seapotato Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Super excited! Sent from my iPod touch using Brickpicker Quote
exciter1 Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 yes, we are all excited however, most of us were also excited on the "The Phantom Menace" cast announcement. ha I still remember getting my leaked copy of "The Phantom Menace" on Real Media Player format *.rm and being in line when it opened. The prequels were disappointing in many ways, but also very cool as well. Any Star Wars is better than no Star Wars. I'm still curious to see where they go with many classic characters, since they decided to reset the Expanded Universe. http://insidemovies.ew.com/2014/04/25/star-wars-movies-expanded-universe-lucasfilm/ Quote
@rtisan Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Well, if someone in Hollywood other than Lucas was/is to be trusted with StarWars, it`s J.J. Abrams. The man knows how to tell great Sci-fi, we`ve seen it time and time again. And he`s got a solid visual style that`s changed for the better over time. Interesting casting choices to say the least, but it`s only a few of them. Plenty more to come. Andy Serkis and Oscar Isaac are intriguing. If filming is to start in May, we can probably expect a trailer as early as the end of the year, at least a teaser, so guess we`ll see! Quote
Huskers1236 Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 You would have to think they wanted to original cast to sort of have cameos in XII and less from then on. This helps the transition and keeps the OT fans interested. I am glad they are in it, though. Quote
b-ran Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Excited to have some of the original cast back. Also excited to see what they have Andy Serkis doing, and of course, John Williams as composer! He has always been one of my favorite movie composers. Quote
Anakinisvader Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 I can't wait for the new saggy slave Leia minifig. 5 Quote
exciter1 Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 If any of you guys want to see Mark Hamill in a different type of role, watch "Sushi Girl". Quote
Migration Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 If any of you guys want to see Mark Hamill in a different type of role, watch "Sushi Girl". What about "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back"? 2 Quote
Migration Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 The cast looks decent enough, now all they need is a script that isn't total crap. I remember reading the book for Episode I and thinking it was written by a drunk monkey. Quote
Sauromosis Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 If you haven't seen "The Seventh Seal" go see it. Von Sydow is this awesome knight that plays chess with Death. From this photo, it seems the young woman will be the daughter of the Solos. Quote
Sauromosis Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 And everyone at that table will be a minifig. Must be exciting for them! Quote
Stevenplays Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 John Boyega, son of Lando? Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, and Domhnall Gleeson, all new protaganists? Andy Serkis, new antagonist? Just my guesses. Old Max von Sydow could be the old guy who dies in the first movie and comes back as a force ghost on Dagoba to tell Analuke Skyswimmer that he has a sister... Nah too original. Quote
Bold-Arrow Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Well I guess the Star Wars site crashed Way to go Jason ... Well played 1 Quote

Jeff Mack Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 I wonder if its more surreal for the new actors or the original actors to be in that room again with everyone? I love the R2-D2 in the background. Quote
