thetamp Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 I love the Planet Sets, I'm one away from completing series 3 #75006 Jedi Starfighter & Kamino. They are cheap, easy to build, and display really well. I wish 2014 would bring us series 5,, Quote
thetamp Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 I can't wait, I agree, series 4 looks the best... Quote
tormentalous Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 For those who collect the Star Wars Planets sets, it looks like it'll get a little more expensive to get the Series 4 sets as they won't be sold here in the US. Thoughts? The second wave of 2013 LSW planets are no longer launching in the US. They will be available in other global countries, however. As you know, some markets carry slightly different collections depending on their market dynamics, so the strategic decision was made not to launch them in the US. http://www.thebrickfan.com/lego-star-wars-planets-series-4-not-sold-in-united-states/ Quote
Diabolos80 Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Of course the best series so far wouldn't be available here. What's that, strike 4 against TLG this week? I'm getting annoyed. 1 Quote
DoNotInsertIntoMouth Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Really? Are sales not good here on them? Maybe this makes them better investments. Quote
Diabolos80 Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Really? Are sales not good here on them? Maybe this makes them better investments. I see a lot of series 3 still sitting on store shelves, so I guess sales aren't great. Better than no sales at all though. I really want that series 4 Tantive. Do you think TLG will mind if I buy it from a reseller? LMFAO 2 Quote

cvail8 Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 I could understand if they weren't going to send them out to regular retail stores, but why not even sell them on their own site? Dumb. Quote
jal4u2c Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Oh boy! More "exclusive-ness" like at comic-con! Now even the regular sets will be released in limited areas to keep "collectability" up! Quote
sadowsk1 Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Take that US! Can't win them all. With that in mind, any Lego collectors in Canada interested in trading or helping a fellow collector round up the last series send me a pm! Quote
comicblast Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Really? Are sales not good here on them? Let me ponder that for a second. Ok, well think of a big number. I just thought of 99. Now imagine those sets in a retail store. Got it? OK. Now imagine how many are left. I'm guessing around half are sold, while the other half are clearanced once...then clearanced again...and again, until they're scooped up. On eBay, the planet sets of Series 1 have barely gone up to MSRP, a sign of over supply. A bit bummed at this, but I doubt I'll try to pick a set up from an international source. This is a great chance for international BrickPicker members once Brick Classifeds comes up. (wink, wink) Quote
remy1492 Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 Mother in law coming from Luxembourg. Will have her pick up some s4 for me. I was patiently waiting for target to get them as theyre 15$ US after the euro conversion. Gues the wait is over Quote

blocktator Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 I am very disappointed. My kids love these sets! Bad move, Lego. Quote
JoshTX Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 With Series 1 still languishing on shelves here, I guess I can understand their choice. However, seems like they could have made these available still through online orders or something. Quote

Isn't like this everywhere though - none of the planet sets made it to clearance in my area except 1 series 3 - the jedi ship. All the others sold well. Quote
Darth_Raichu Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 You know the series is not well received when TRU is selling them at discounted $8 and noone is touching them in months. Quote
seapotato Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 omg, pay canadian prices? though trading sounds interesting. Take that US! Can't win them all. astroricardo Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 Really disappointing, I was wondering why it was taking so long for them to be available. Quote
Lateral-G Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 Not happy barely describes how I feel toward TLG right at this moment. Way to p-off lego fans. Quote
