spener90
It has gone in and out of stock a lot lately. Maybe it is finally done, maybe it isn't. I would note that yesterday when the stock was being depleted from Amazon, it did say that more were supposed to be on the way. I think it still has at least a few months left, but honestly, who knows?
Rich B
Seems to be readily available on the Lego website right now. This set should be around all year and possibly longer. It is very rare for large sets to go EOL this time of year. The last large set to go was 10212 about a month ago, and that was leftover from the holiday EOLing. All the large sets (10XXX sets) that are available right now will/should be available all of 2013 or close to all of the year. Of course there is a chance I could be wrong, but that is typically how the pattern goes with the 10XXX sets. Keep your eyes pealed and pay close attention later this year, around October. That is when EOL season will really kick off and begin, especially with the larger sets. Smaller sets however can, and typically do go EOL at anytime. So the smaller sets can be harder to track. Sorry for the long explanation. And as I said before, 10214 should be around all year in my opinion.

CNH1974
There were two on the shelf at the Milton Keynes Store when I went it in. One when I left They said it will go EOL sometime this year to be replaced with the Sydney Opera House. Take that with the usual grain of salt until it is officially announced. cflannagan
Really looking forward to the Sydney Opera House set, if there's any truth to the rumors!
CNH1974
I would prefer the Sky Tower from Auckland,New Zealand. But I am biased! :)

CNH1974
I was going to say the Harbour Bridge. but we have just had a bridge. Think of all those light & dark grey pieces that would be needed. I think using Tower bridge scale it would still be 10m long!. Maybe Lego should do a Bridges of the World theme.
silmon
In view of recent events, it might be a good time to make a beautiful St. Peter in Rome ... or you know ... the Colosseum?
CNH1974
The Colosseum would be cool. But ruined or as it was in Roman times. And Colour? White, Tan or Light Grey? Also it would have to be big enough to easily do the curve in bricks. I am trying to think if I have seen a MOC of it.
glucapg
In view of recent events, it might be a good time to make a beautiful St. Peter in Rome with the minifig of Benedetto XVI, the third ex-Pope of the history
spener90
I would buy a St Peters Cathedral in a heartbeat! I went to Rome around 2 years ago and loved every second of it. The people, the food, the atmosphere... just a great place to be. The detail that would be involved with a Cathedral would be phenomenal! I could definitely see them doing a Notre Dame Cathedral at some point.
stephen_rockefeller
I don't see them recreating anything that has religious implications....... maybe they have before and I just missed it??
spener90
I don't see them recreating anything that has religious implications....... maybe they have before and I just missed it?? I agree, that's why I said Notre Dame's Cathedral. I figure it being from more than just a religious background. They have already upset the Turks (Not from Scrubs, if anyone understands that reference) with Jabba's set...
DominickSoldano
How about the Kremlin with all of those colored onion domes. They already have a mold for those parts.
stephen_rockefeller
The Notre Same cathedral has no religion tied to it? I assumed it had something to do with Catholicism.

spener90
I was thinking that the Cathedral has been in so many movies now (Hunchback of Notre Dame), and it is more seen as simply a classic architectural part of history now. I recognize that it is a Catholic church, but then I also feel it is important to recognize that Lego does Christmas Sets and Advent Calenders every year. Both are part of Christianity. Maybe it is just me, but I don't think Lego is afraid to do a Cathedral. I understand that a lot of people think it would be controversial, but honestly, who would be offended by it? CNH1974
British Houses of Parliament? But the only architectural features are the West & East towers, the bit in the middle is a bit boring. Or the Millennium Wheel. London's newest landmark. Now that would be an interesting Lego build.

CNH1974
That could open it up to many religious buildings: West Minster Abbey St Paul's Cathedral Hagia Sofia (the real one, not Jabba's Palace)
silmon
There's a lot of ancient icons such Athens Parthenon or Giza Sphynx or Maya temples... Returnig at the topic, St.Peter or the Colosseum are maybe the most iconic monuments all over the world...christian or not....imho
CNH1974
Could they do any natural features? Mount Rushmore has been done a few times as a MOC. What about others? I am trying to think of something that is not a mountain...
