Bernard74
A little far away from me (the Hague) but we have one of those over here. Sadly without any great deals for a while. Already have two though and might keep it at those anyway. But thanks!
635-ukk
your thinking, Tower Bridge is going to sky rocket right? it ell be fine
Ed Mack
The Tower Bridge is a very popular set among investors and its EOL date appears to be far off...two negatives. I have always though the set was a great value and I still do, but "sky rocket" might be a bit much.
BosS
EOL date is 31.12. 2014 so there is still time to consider it.

Diabolos80
I bought one a few days ago for a decent price. I'm not planning to invest in more, but I wanted one to build

sadowsk1
I don't understand the appeal of the set personally. I think it will be a healthy amount of time before this set is enjoying any large returns.
Sauromosis
I'm pretty bullish on this set. It's too large to get ignored after retirement.

CNH1974
That is the rumor, but yes, there is still time to buy one...or more. That's what the lego store employees told me. They never lie do they.... Where do u guys display the thing? Its a monster! You don't have a shelf 105cm wide? They need to do a micro micro version. comicblast
I am personally a big fan of large-scale models of real-life landmarks (contrary to the Architecture line, where some builds use only a few hundred pieces), so I intend on picking it up, but I haven't decided when, or how I will do so. As an investment, I don't think skyrocketing is the correct word to use when talking of the Tower Bridge. Sets that have skyrocketed and are most well-known were the underdogs - for example, the UCS Imperial Shuttle. Prior to it's retirement, it wasn't a favorite of the majority of investors. I think that sets that are widely talked about as being "great investments" don't grow as much as the conversations on the sets continue, as a general statement, but there are always exceptions. I'm guessing that this set will double in the first 2 years after retirement, though this number could be WAY off.
MartinP
Where do u guys display the thing? Its a monster! I do not have one yet, but if I had one, it would go right in the middle of a coffee table in the family room as the center piece.
akohns
I missed a new in box one for $75 at a consignment store near me. Unfortunately I was in another state and it sold within a few hours of them posting it on CL. Bummed, I wanted one to build but I don't get to spend that amount of money on sets to build, even on my birthday.

What what what?!? $240 is a lot sure, but I thought you funded your hobby with your sales. To be fair, I'm not supposed to build too many big sets either, but the wife doesn't check the paypal balance often B)
Guest brickcrazyhouse
Does the size of the box "put off" any investors? Either the storage issue or shipping.
DoNotInsertIntoMouth
Does the size of the box "put off" any investors? Either the storage issue or shipping. Its really not crazy big honestly. Its no where near as bad as the SSD or DS or those types of sets. Its really not that bad at all. I have three together and they are stored easy as pie. TheDarkness
Does the size of the box "put off" any investors? Either the storage issue or shipping. Nope. But that size box has put me off my B-Wing collection

I'm still searching for a deal but I spent some money on LOTR, Hobbit and Lone Ranger sets for my collection. It's easier to justify when I find sets that I want at 40% off or better. 635-ukk
I know I can't find any great deals
Bsusanka
I have seen reviews on youtube on the bridge. My only concern for resale is the size of it when completed. There aren't that many places I could put it in my house once it's made!
CNH1974
You'll have to build a room around it :)

Bsusanka
I certainly hope that they retire it soon. Every time I see one I feel the urge to buy it....
