Redtree
My toys r us has 5 but I looked closely and they have two layers of tape to seal the set. I've never seen this before. I wonder if they were opened and resealed. New tape is on top of old tape. Any thoughts?

Anakinisvader
I really don't think they are overproduced. I think there is an over abundance of investors that have bought them up which will keep the prices down this year as everyone tries to dump them around Halloween and Christmas time. I wonder if they were opened and resealed. New tape is on top of old tape. Any thoughts? Been seeing this practice at TRU Stores for this set. Nothing to worry about. I bought one in Dec 2012 and ended up opening it for my son, it was fine. If anything, up maybe it reinforces the original seals from breaking,
pins79
"Temporarily out of stock" on Lego.com again...I wonder if their stash of these is really running low at this point. It seems only place to have them readily available is TRU, albeit at a hiked up price.

Prob the main reason for the high amazon 3rd party prices are the fees. Toys have insane seller fees on that web site. Much worse than eBay. JoshTX
This will only compete with the HH for a little while and will still sell for a high price to people who have to have both. Interested to see what happens around the week of Halloween as it looks like remaining store stock on these is starting to go fast.
