Ciglione Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Thanks. Very interesting! Will it also become available on amazon? Quote
TheOrcKing Posted June 17, 2014 Author Posted June 17, 2014 Thanks. Very interesting! Will it also become available on amazon?Yes, it should be available on Amazon as well as Barnes & Noble. I'm a little confused by Brick City Depot's front page saying the book is ready for print yet when I go to No Starch Press' page, it still says the book is a pre-order until September 25th. So is it available or not? Perhaps the different outlets have not had a chance to update their pages about the date yet I guess. Quote
TheOrcKing Posted July 3, 2014 Author Posted July 3, 2014 Here are a couple of snapshots giving a taste for what will be in this unique book from Brick City Depot. You can browse through the first chapter when you Look Inside at Amazon. If you are a member and sign in, you can see even more! Quote
TheOrcKing Posted August 8, 2014 Author Posted August 8, 2014 Another month before this book of Brick City Depot becomes available on September 25th. I am very interested to check it out and wonder if anyone else is too. They make fantastic modular designs and I figure this to be no exception. Quote
TheOrcKing Posted August 30, 2014 Author Posted August 30, 2014 Still a few weeks away from release. However there is this brief review over at Rebrickable to help tide us over in the meantime. Quote
weakside Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 that corner drug store looks great. never purchased anything on bricklink before but would be nice one day to build a custom modular from scratch. Quote
Guest eightbrick Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Looks good. The only tiny thing that bothered me about Peter Reid and Tim Goddard's space book was that there were no instructions for the minifig scale ships, nice to see this one has large instructions. Seems like No Starch has the monopoly on unofficial Lego books (3 more Lego books from them coming later this year). http://www.nostarch.com/catalog/lego Quote
TheOrcKing Posted October 6, 2014 Author Posted October 6, 2014 The very first publication of Brick City Depot is available for purchase! Check out this page from their main site to find companion files for many of the buildable projects found throughout the book and many reviews by different sites. Amazon and Barnes & Noble currently have the best deal for a new hardcover. No Starch Press / Amazon / Barnes & Noble 1 Quote
10230 Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 The current B&****** coupon, with GC and membership (for free shipping online) get this down below $10, plus tax. Not a bad price I would think. In store it is full retail, and Amazon (while possibly without tax) has no coupon. Quote
