I think we are in the minority of people that care about box condition. I believe most people get their box, in whatever condition, open it, and put it together without fuss. There is a setting on your VIP account online where you can add kids to your account. Sounds like you don't need it, you are in the Lego Shop at Home goldilocks zone! If I buy lego set as a gift, and sometimes I do, I feel very uncomfortable gifting something in a very beat up product box.
