I am Niko Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 The poll for this thread should be changed to:Would you buy Exo Suit at 75% off? Quote
ravenb99 Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 The poll for this thread should be changed to:Would you buy Exo Suit at 75% off?everyone says that but after the first sign of a discount and poofage from a major site then it will slowly get back in the graces of investors. 2 Quote
jaisonline Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 agreed. plus we haven't had a failed lego cuusso / ideas set yet. even the train-wreck hood and door designs on the BBTF set couldn't keep it down. everyone says that but after the first sign of a discount and poofage from a major site then it will slowly get back in the graces of investors. 3 Quote
Locutus001 Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 ES is done! (At least here in Germany ;-) ). In the U.S.A. it was too but emazers decided to give some of his back... 2 Quote
freakchem Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 I just started into Lego investment when Exo was released. I still remember that I paid $70 on Ebay to get a copy on release day because of panic. It is a silly decision but what I learned is: DON'T PANIC.I am afraid that I have to wait a couple more years to get my $70 back when Exo suit reaches $100. Guest Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 You could be the LEGO CEO and tell me 100% sure it is retiring right now and I can have as many as I want for 50% off. I would buy zero. Quote

Love them and I don't care what theme they are, Galaxy Squad, Super heroes, Ninjago, Power miners..... they are all cool in my book. Quote

newbie77 Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 i am sitting on pile of these. not going to touch these even at 1/2 off for that matter they are at the very back of storage. i will look @ them next x-mas time and see if they are worth anything. if not will find some use to them Quote
bricketycricket Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 It seemed like not long ago people thought this was set to be the next Mars Rover. Even the set designer himself proclaimed only one production run would be made. And now it's about as toxic an investment as there can be in Lego Quote

Interesting. Quote
tractorboy Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Not every set can be a Rover, but that doesn't make it a toxic investment. If it's selling at 2xRRP two years from now, will that be a bad investment? I think we'll see a steady demand for this, if only because it's an Ideas set and there'll be people getting into (and coming back to) Lego over the next couple of years who will have missed it.If you're buying these at 50% now, I would think you'll double your money within 6 months easily. How is that a bad investment? Quote
Guest TabbyBoy Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 I hope "Retired Product" will now help those who were unfortunate enough to buy any of these turkeys. Glad I returned mine in good time. I've seen them for £12.99 and still didn't bother. Quote
mudcatsfan Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 I have a couple questions. Has anyone seen this set in a US Toys R Us like the other more recent Ideas sets? (Ecto, Birds, BBTheory) I have not.Has anyone seen this set on discount before now? I have not. Camelx3 says it hasn't been lower than 33 on Amazon in its lifetime. How good have the discounts been on this set outside of the US? Sounds like pretty good? Quote
Fcbarcelona101 Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 I hate this set lol. At least it is finally on its dying breaths. Quote
