Exo-Suit's biggest challenge is that it wasn't the RI upon release. A lot of people, not just BPers, thought it would be. This thing will be fine long term.

exactly.  let's all keep saying this.  i kept all 40 of my exo-suits and will be going down with the ship, see it to the bitter end, or  just maybe find a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.  my favorite posts of this thread are when people describe "dumping" their sets at a loss or for minimal profit because it only means that fewer people will be holding down the road. also i love ironic foreshadowing.

fwiw even though people have reported seeing stacks yaaay high in stores, i have never seen these in a walmart or a target store and have only seen them in the closest lego store on opening day only.

Retiring soon tag is another reason I don't want anymore of these. Good sets just retire, they don't announce it in a desperate bid for sales months and months in advance.

I have seen these in Wal-Mart and target from those who returned them. My local Wal-Mart has 6 that have been on clearance for over a month at retail price. If they discount them by 30%+ I may grab a few of them. They just haven't moved

Talk to an assistant mgr or mgr. Ask what they will do if you buy them all. I had a similar exp in the "good" walmart in my area.

I've done that before too. They have some other sets I'd take off their hands but they won't budge as of yet. No worries, I'm patient.

For everyone who says they have not seen an Exo Suit in Walmart here you go.

Keep in mind this copy is from my stores clearance section.

Its on cleerance for $34.99.

Picked it up to look at and guess what - it is completely empty.

Imagine the price with some Lego inside?

Well clearly what you had in your hands is the true lunar version on the exosuit, which simulates the weight on the moon. That's why it's clearance price is the regular exosuit's full retail price.

Still glad I returned mine within 90 days. I see no mojo in this set - sorry.

What do you guys think of this?

from the website: One of the best sets of 2014 is soon to be decommissioned. Once Peter Reid's 21109 Ideas Exo-Suit sells out at shop.LEGO.com later this month it will gone for good. If you haven't already bought one, don't hang about: order it today.

Head on over here: http://community.brickpicker.com/topic/9521-21109-exo-suit/

I think it means it's a good time to buy some...does Lego ever announce when sets are retiring? Maybe they're just messing with resellers but on other websites the consensus is that reseller scum are going to make a killing with an announcement like this.
