hxckid88 Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 which ever target or walmart has exo-suit; its a return from one of the target/walmart guests. { most likely one of the BP'er who ordered a lot more than they can digest/hold and returned }. good $cost No way. I've seen he Exo Suit at literature ten differnt targets. And Walmart I've seen it at have tons like close to 20. Shelf tag and all. Quote

Shelf tag and all. yes just because they have a shelf tag doesn't mean that its not a return. i have not seen exo-suit in lot of target and walmart. where ever i have seen them i.e. about 7 targets in west-coast and 2 walmarts; when i asked about them to the manager themselves they have mentioned that they were returns. unless people confirm that exo-suit is in each and every targets and/or walmart its mostly likely that those are returns rather than sell it in all stores like how the layout of most of these BB retailers are. Noveawill Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Hello fellow investing members. Today I managed to get 2 exo suits at my local LEGO store and ordered one online. I am keeping one for me but I am planning to sell my other 2. I am slightly concerned of a second run making the set slightly less sought after set. Therefor sell now or wait? should I resell this one like I did when times were desperate to get hands on the minecraft set? Quote
marcandre Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Exo has flooded the market, you won't get more than retail right now. At least here in the States, not sure about ID. I guess it could dry up closer to xmas but I'm not expecting a huge spike. Mod maybe combine with exo thread, thx. Quote
Kenxxx Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 There's a seller on ebay now advertising "Rare Hard to Find Exo-Suit..." for $38 free shipping. I'd buy one, and then open a SNAD case against them if I didn't have too many already. Quote

PurpleSnurple Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 So is this set officially dead like the Ghost Buster's set for investment purposes? I'm considering off-loading my extras and picking up the new birds ideas set or minecraft if this one is going to be a shelf-warmer not worth the investment anymore. Thoughts? Quote

I'm considering off-loading my extras and picking up the new birds ideas set or minecraft if this one is going to be a shelf-warmer not worth the investment anymore. Thoughts? Maybe for QFLL purposes, but this set isn't dead. The Ecto-1 is definitely not dead. That one will be a post EOL winner big time. Just because a set cannot be flipped for profit while still in production and widely available at retail cost doesn't make it "dead... for investment purposes." It's just not a good flip. 7 Quote

Ciglione Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 when will be the expected EOL for exo suit? not sure on the lifecyle for lego ideas so checking with you all here I got the new catalogue from Lego Germany yesterday. Ecto-1 and Birds were in it. Exo-suit was not. Could be a sign. Quote
Sir Billiam Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 I love it, think it's going to be the best sleeper set of the year, and won't be surprised to see a better appreciation than 21108. Quote
@rtisan Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 I bought 6 of these right away (limit of 2, 3 times) glad I sold them though. Was able to clear all of them out last year for about $5 over retail each. I`m so happy I did. Will look to acquire more perhaps near the end of this year or into next if it`s still around, which I`d guess it will be at least that long. Quote

I have a few kicking around the stockroom that I didn't move fast enough. Now they are 'long term holds'. I wish I had moved them at the peak of the frenzy. Quote
sopranos Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 In Germany the Exo Suit gets the mark "Auslaufmodell" which means Retiring Soon. 5 Quote
Heart Juggler Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 In Germany the Exo Suit gets the mark "Auslaufmodell" which means Retiring Soon. Showing as retiring soon in UK store now too 1 Quote
biniou Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 (edited) Note that (in my country for the least) it's the only set which has this tag. It's been a while (months) since I didn't saw this tag ! I even thought it didn't exist anymore in europe. (lists from the french version of the LEGO Shop at Home, displayed in english) Edited February 5, 2015 by biniou Quote
Ted Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 In Australia LEGO Shop at Home it is also labelled as Retiring Soon. I also hardly see that tag at all. Wonder could these be something that would become the norm? Quote
newbie77 Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 US still has limit "1" on LEGO Shop at Home..... hopefully this is not like 6860 ... (which retired the whole wide world) and stayed in US for extra year.... Quote
Guest TabbyBoy Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 I can't see these appreciating much if at all. Every shop in the UK appears to have full shelves of these and they are just not moving, even when The Entertainer in Reading had them at half price! So glad that I returned these turkeys on the 88th day and will not buy any more even with a massive discount. I've grown to hate the thing immensely. More for you lot then innit? ;-) Quote
stephen_rockefeller Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 I can't see these appreciating much if at all. Keep telling yourself this and you might believe it. ROVERS AND RIs FOR EVERYONE!!!! 1 Quote
jaisonline Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 i don't think this set will be another 6860. i'm not alone with this opinion. grab them while you can and save one for building as it's a fun set little set. http://www.amazon.com/LEGO-Ideas-Exo-Suit-21109/dp/B00L2DL6GG? http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=jfOcdvfTNg4&subid;=&offerid=115554.1&type=10&tmpid=2294&RD_PARM1=http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Exo-Suit-21109 p.s., this set already has a space cult following in a good way. US still has limit "1" on S@H..... hopefully this is not like 6860 ... (which retired the whole wide world) and stayed in US for extra year.... 1 Quote
biking_tiger Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Exo-Suit's biggest challenge is that it wasn't the RI upon release. A lot of people, not just BPers, thought it would be. This thing will be fine long term. 1 Quote
