Bold-Arrow Posted June 17, 2014 Author Posted June 17, 2014 You actually watched that match? I watched the last 10 min of the 1st half, and the first 20 min of the second, decided a tru run would be a better use of my time... Quote

rastascoob Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 The US team might make a soccer/futbol fan out of me yet. Exciting game. Quote
Bold-Arrow Posted June 17, 2014 Author Posted June 17, 2014 The US team might make a soccer/futbol fan out of me yet. Exciting game. USA has a decent chance to progress given the way things transpire today. Germany should defeat Ghana, and Portugal will be without three players ( although I would have rather had the worthless Almeida play). A draw against Portugal and even a defeat against Germany might carry them thru . Quote
kishidan69 Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 good ending to the day Iran v Nigeria was the first dud of the tourney Watching the replay now, this actually started alright with Nigeria creating chances, they just couldn't convert. Quote
binici Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 As people were leaving work, I told them to wait a few minutes for USA to score the go ahead winning goal... I shocked myself with that prediction, but then again, team USA did that last WC also! Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker Quote

boliramirez Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Great game !!! Brazil still can't win against Mexico ...... Memo Ochoa ( GK) for President !! Quote
kishidan69 Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Finally, Fellaini scores! Happy for him. On the flip side, the pressure continues to mount for Rooney to net his first one at a WC.... Quote
Bold-Arrow Posted June 18, 2014 Author Posted June 18, 2014 what a blunder by the Russian goalie....ooops Brazil played better today but still need to improve . Fred is no Ronaldo or Romario ! Belgium to top Group H looking fwd to Spain's game tomorrow vs Chile. First game should feature some goals, will probably pass on the last game of the day Quote
Ciglione Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Only a few hours for the next game! Holland vs Australia! Quote
kishidan69 Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Despite what local media here says "Holland has never defeated Australia before...", I predict the Netherlands achieving Total Victory with Total Football. The Aussie boys, many at their first WC (incl the coach), will not be up to it this time round. 1 Quote

rubysue74 Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 If you're not watching, you should be. 2-2 58:00 mark. Good action. Awesome volley by Cahill in first half. Robbin & RVP again for Dutchies. Quote
Bold-Arrow Posted June 18, 2014 Author Posted June 18, 2014 What a game and what a goal !!! Spain on the brinks... Quote
kishidan69 Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Well done Australia, hats off to them. Predicted a whitewash by the Dutch, but the boys have stood up to the challenge, pity that they just couldn't get over the line. Must now wait for the replay to see that Tim Cahill super goal. Now, I hope they will play even better against Spain in their next nothing-to-lose match and go out with glory. Quote
kishidan69 Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 wow. Spain are out! Who would have thought....and even before the half-way mark of the group stage! Quote

ISO8T0 Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Apparently a lot of us would't have guessed that spain would go out in the group stage. This is proving to be quite an exciting and well matched world cup! Quote
