A sign of things to come? I have picked these both up at pretty good discounts at various Walmarts lately. I can understand maybe removing them from shelves, but they are already completely deleted from the website. What could that mean? *wink wink, nudge nudge*

Very hopeful this is true about the Batcave in particular since I have a couple of them. I think Batcave has been out for 1 1/2 years now, so not totally surprising if true. Probably will be on Lego.com for a while though.

That's what I was thinking, it has been out just about the right amount of time. There are so many new Super Heroes sets due to come out that something has to go to make room. Why not make it something with a big bulky box? Or two somethings with big bulky boxes? :)

One of the Wallies near me was totally wiped out of lego...except for about 60 quinjets that they had spread all over the lego isles to fill in space. I think they just shipped all of them out to the stores to get some warehouse space.

Hi, My local Meijer store has massive 25% discounts on 2012 sets: Quinjet, Wolverine, Dino, etc. I know several people here like the Quinjet set for investment. Please let me know why do you think it's a good investment set. Thank you so much, Peter

I have been watching these at my local Meijer for a while now. I am waiting for them to go past 25% off. I got a few on clearance at Walmart for $49 a while back. If Meijer marks them down just a little more I will get some. 735 peices, a cool jet, 5 cool minifigs... IMO this is a good investment.

I feel like I never see them mark Lego down more than 25%. Seems like they will just let those sets sit there forever without further markdown. Maybe I just haven't paid enough attention.

Just pick up one Quinjet at Walmart for $49.

But I am not that sure about this set for investment.

The jet is not as cool as the one in the movie IMO

I am also curious about what other people think of this set.

Great investment, in my humble opinion. I can give you a very concrete rock solid reason to back this up too. There is a LEGO Avengers game coming out this fall. The only thing that works more wonders for a LEGO set than movies is new LEGO games! Anyone who passes on an opportunity to own this set for well under MSRP is going to be kicking themselves later! I can put my money where my mouth is on this one. I bought four of them. :)

I kinda felt the same way for a while, but the other day I got a retired Luke's Landspeeder for 50% off. That was by far and away the best deal I ever got at Walmart though.

I tried to place an order yesterday and I couldn't get free shipping. I didn't complete the transaction but I got all the way to the shipping section where you select the shipping method. Didn't have a free shipping option.

I haven't tried an online order yet. I will try now and see if it gives me free shipping.

It's not giving me free shipping either. Not sure what's up.

Yep, without free shipping the deal isn't really good. I wonder what the problem is or if legos are excluded. I was going to place an order yesterday but shipping was like $17...OUCH!
